Gears 5 has a moment where it asks you to choose between saving JD Fenix or Del. JD Fenix is Marcus's son and when the news is broken to him that JD died, it's hard to see him heartbroken having lost Dom, Anya, his dad and now his only son.

i wont ever give the last of us any credit. the game is literally about screwing over humanity for one kids life, which numerous other ways to use her exist but god forbid the player let that happen and the fungus be stopped.

The moments that ruined me were in mass effect. Not choosing the right squad leaders in one mission in particular meant whomever you picked from your squad to be leader would die. I lost a couple friends on that mission.

Dom having to shot his own wife was terrible but want kinda hit me more was his sacrifice in gears of war 3. That was hurting and made me just shock for sure.
