All the stores were selling these games ok and they just worked as the official ones so that trend continued with ps2
Aside from having many many amazing memories that I won't forget, I can't express enough how awesome it felt to go to the store with bucket of money and buy like 7 games at ones not knowing what the hell were these games and just picking them up because of the box art most of the time

The ps1 holds such a special place in the heart ... my mum got my for xmas 1998 MGS was the first game i ever completed age 6 that was monumental to me . =) ..
Ill always remeber i was stuck on boxing day looking for the codex number explained on the back of the cd case - i was like WTH its not so i switched it off looking in the manual and flipped over the jewel case and there it was my mind was blown ---
Edit i still own the same game + 200 ps tittles

When I first seen the PlayStation it was at a Sears with the cool boarders in it and that was the game that hooked me to get the PlayStation for Christmas that's all I wanted was the game Cool boarders and the PlayStation I was obsessed with it until I ended up getting one for Christmas it made my childhood and cool boarders was the game for me because I was a snowboarder at the time and something about that game just spoke to me

Those Sunday Morning Hours with my Dad playing that Ski jumping game, watch my parents with their Friends playing Tekken 3 and me waiting for that Bell in Medal of Honor, wanting to discover every aspect of Spyro, My first open World Game, those Demo Discs, playing DRIV3R as a Child was just perfect, playing Asterix: Maxium Gaudium with my first Friends and oh BOI that SOUND AT THE START!

I wasn't around the ps1 but when the ps2 came out that's wheni truly started to love video games. I played my ps2 all thr way up till I was in 11th grade 17 years old I got it when I was 8 or 11. Thank you Sony for all the childhood memories when me and my brother would just game for hours. Sadly you've changed alot since then but I'll still remember your golden years of the ps2 and ps1

So I-m 15... and I found a PlayStation in my grandparents basement that they had for when my brother would come over... I brought it home with me and still have it hooked up to an old tv in my basement and play gran turismo or wipeout on it now, especially when someone-s over it-s fun to see how entertaining playing the games really are still now compared to newer titles

When my sister founds ps1 on her friend she said she wants to play it so they played together my sister had fun soon after she went home and said to us -mom can we get ps1- they all laughed except me but my mom agrees if she has enough money my sister was really excited I never seen a person in 2020 get excited of getting ps1 even tho its released in 19's

Yeah man resident evil was on of my all time favs! I played them all!! Jet moto was amazing. Diablo on playstation was awesome too it changed the way I seen games as well. It blew my mind the cinematics could be in a video game and I have fond memories of playing the playstation as a young teen till now!!

i remember as a kid watching my father play final fantasy 7 and the first suikoden, he helped get me into rpgs
then there was my mom who loved spyro and she always had so much fun,
those games hold a spot in my heart thanks to the original PlayStation

Like Falcon I had trouble communicating with PS1 because I loved my SEGA genesis. For that reason unfortunately I entirely missed the golden era of PS1. All I remember from playing on PS1 is winning eleven , Smack Down and Tekken 3.
