Skyrim is a fantastical game, even if I jumped onto the game around 2017 (I think). I learn a bunch of stuff every single time I do a play through to the game. It has impacted my life in phenomenal ways, I didn't expect an old pile of video games for the PS3 that my cousin gave me would lead me to my life today. I just picked up a random game labeled -Skyrim- that I only really picked up because the cover looked cool, the copy I was given had a map and seeing the map with it and how big it was convinced me to try out the game.
I absolutely loved playing that game on our families PS3 that is slightly older than me, and when my family got a XBox and the same cousin gave me a disk of the Special edition of Skyrim, and that led me down the DLC path.
I remember never do the main quest lines of Skyrim and just doing the other questlines, a habit I still have. It took me until nearly 6 months ago for me to actually finish the main questline on both the XBox and PS3, something I regret doing now, but I was satisfied with doing the other questlines. Instead of a game with little else more than the main questline like I was expecting, I was left with surprisingly complex characters. It seems that almost every NPC in Skyrim has a backstory and something that makes then unique.
I also remember finally getting Skyrim for the Xbox and being blown away by it's graphic improvements from the PS3 version, which I was still impressed with.
Whoops, sorry about going on a rant about how much I love Skyrim. But it seems that every single time I look back to games I love and how much they have impacted me I filled with a nostalgia and the urge to complete the games again.

i have modded skyrim to the point of being skyrim 2. almost a new game with the enhancements not to mention the many huge quest mods. the modding in skyrim is insanely amazing so its helps me be very patient. not to mention im excited for es6 but in the back of my mind will be like yeah this game will be amazing after about 3 or 4 years of modding. itll be in its prime like skyrim is today simply because of mods. assuming they dont pull a CA and limit modding through the engine. which would be extremely dumb on their part if they did that.

What I'm worried is that they are taking very long but the game is still barely in preproduction/a small team building world and lore. If it begins development while Starfield is being finished, then we have to wait 5? more years before they can release the game lol... I just hope TES6 has coop because that's proven fun and demanded by rpg games like Divinity Original Sin or Pathmaker games and numerous projects like Skyrim Together and heck, the release of Elder Scrolls Online. I'm scared of Bethesda monetization though...

-I am expecting a MASSIVE LETDOWN- and everyone else should too.
If they are going to take this long it had better be mindblowingly amazing. If it's not going to make -enormous- leaps beyond Skyrim then it shouldn't take this long.
If they have the same size of step as between Skyrim and Oblivion then it should have been out in 2018.

I know why they are taking so long to do the next game.
Becos they don't have a full ideas of new things such as gameplay design, into next game.
WHy not you guys just propose something good you think Skyrim was lacking. Maybe this will speed up things if they have good ideas ofr next game.

At this point, after all the BS Bethesda has released via other games/genres, even -IF- they release Skyrim VI, I'm now convinced it's going to be so -BORKED- it won't be worth our time/effort.
They had over a DECADE to produce this, yet haven't.

I am fine with TES6 taking a long time because of the heavy disappointment I got from Cyberpunk 2077 ,GTA Trilogy , Assassin's Creed Valhalla and some others .I really hope it is a game I would play and always hope to return on it .

There is no way, that it-s not coming on PlayStation. I mean they sold Skyrim for every possible console you can imagine, and they-re losing half of the player base if its only coming for xbox and maybe pc

DO NOT PUSH THEM!!
Let then use as much time as it takes to make it as good as they possibly can. Stoeywise, sidequests and everything.
If we push them it'll end up being a buggy mess at launch.
