To be fair I didn't look very far down in the comments but I'm blown away that no one's mentioning the darkness games, in those games you never die because the darkness always revives you, so you're this immortal man cursed with a demon that can only be present when you are in darkness and it never lets you die.

I think journey is a curious choice for this list, it was mentioned nothing can hurt you, which they can, you just lost scarf length and along with that as part of the story it's kind of implied that you die

No ones included the nemesis system because it was copy righted only Warner brother game will be able to use this mechanic for like the next 20 ot 30 years unless they buy a license to use it from Warner bros

I never understood how kratos can die. Because he's been killed...a few times and has had to claw his way out of hell. Like he's an immortal being. Yet can die if it's not in a plot protection scene

I don't think Firewatch, Submerged, Animal Crossing belong on this list.
You could have included Saints Row 4, where you die but you are inside a simulation, so it's pretty much whatever.

I played bioshock and In bioshock infinite you don't die you just pass out and then get healed by Elizabeth so kinda surprised that wasn't on the list
