10 insane little details you missed in video games
video description
Ghost Of Tsushima may look better on Pro or PS5, but on Base PS4, it's really not that impressive, imo. Horizon Zero Dawn looks better. God Of 4 looks better. Possibly MGSV looks better. (I know Quiet looks better than anything in GOT lol) But it does have some cool details, at least. I just think it got overhyped.

Regarding number 8:
For the bazillionth time, Falcon. Those are MAGAZINES, not clips. Clips are metal frames used to hold cartridges together and load them into an internal magazine. Magazines, on the other hand, contain cartridges ready to be fed directly to the gun's chamber right from the mag itself, and are always external.
Oh, and regarding the realism in Call of Duty: I have never seen a single Call of Duty game in which the cartridge in the chamber is taken into account, like in Battlefield. Ever noticed while playing Battlefield that after reloading say, a regular assault rifle with a standard mag, instead of being back to 30 cartridges in the gun, you now have 31? That's how it is supposed to work in real life too (unless you've spent all of them before reloading. This is because when you remove a half-spent mag and insert a fresh one with 30 rounds in it, there's also another round in the chamber. Hence why you now have 31 in total. Call of Duty NEVER does this, and I don't know why.
So falcon, sorry but I would not have included COD in this list just because of this.

Couple of ideas for lists.
1- games where playing on higher difficulties is made worth it by way of extra modes and unlockables, like in Marvel Ultimate Alliance, where playing on easy unlocks Nick Fury as a PC and playing on normal unlocks a ng+ mode.
2- games where the higher difficulties are unexpectedly, WAY tougher, like in Dante's Inferno, where the first boss fight becomes practically impossible at higher difficulty(because it's before you've got the cross, any magic, or any ability to improve your skills.

Can t believe rockstar scrapped a next gen update for rdr2 and it s online mode. How can they not continue improving of the all time most amazing games. They release content for gta 5 endlessly it s ridiculous. Also how about a remaster for gta 4, personally my all time favorite gta game, the detail in that game was incredible. I m just praying they are working on something behind the scenes, knowing how secretive rockstar are. Come on now tho, next gen rdr2? Remaster for gta 4? I think ppl would love to see that!

It's not a game detail per say but PS2 memory cards (those born after 1999, ask your parents) but when you are deleting files or copying, the logos react differently. Ape Escape 2, Samurai Warriors, and a whole bunch of others come to mind. The other from that era that I'm surprised no one really talks about is DMC 3 and how Devil Trigger changes look with different weapons. I have never seen anyone talk about that in any retrospective but I think it is a cool detail that should be brought back.

I'm currently playing Sleeping Dog's definitive edition it's super fun and the perfect remake of a great game. And I'm going for platinum trophies and all dlc trophies so I'm going to be sinking in a lot of time in this GTA 4 style game play. Not to belittle the experience I'm just seeing elements of GTA 4 in the game play plus the gun bullet travel in max Payne and GTA 4 hand to hand combat also the function of melee weapons were cool as well.

One reason I can t actually get into any games is because I m at peoples mercy, and people have shown me that if I like something, they will ruin it for me no matter what. No thanks. I ll just watch every spoiler I can, first hint they re gonna ruin it for me, I unload all the spoilers. If you gotta ruin the game, you deserve to have it ruined, and I did already try to be nice with it.

After a not so healthy ammount of hours playing ghost of tsushima I started finding the game really ugly due to the insane ammount of wind, moving things, the attention you gotta give to those elements and the dizzyness it causes, maybe im alone on this one but imo having a minimap would make this game look just so much better instead of generating actual disorientation and sickness

I mean the whole rake to the face when stepping on it aka the Rake Take trope definitely predates The Simpsons. being prevalent in Tom and Jerry before the Simpsons were on air, but may have roots in even earlier cartoons with a physical comedy center. even happening in Gilligan's isle, it has also been in Garfield comic strips. Tom and jerry is the one I remember most.

you could spend weeks talking about all the insane details in horizon zero dawn.
How everything is built based upon how it would have been built in the past, though using some modern materials, how the first big town has logs leaving it, go down the stream you will find a quary and everything is connected. Just so much massive detail in it.

I know this is your job, but that is the exact problem. ..
. .. You have to play A LOT OF GAMES to keep your work going on so, many little things just pass unnoticed, like this detail from God Of War.
I knew about this since the first one in that first fight with Bauldur and i believe many others have noticed that too!

Microsoft's Flight Simulator mapped the real stars up to magnitude 4 all the way since the late 80's, along with the position and phases of the moon, with all the ephemerides of the sun and the moon, accounting also for latitude. After all, this stuff is used for navigation. I believe the current version also models eclipses.

I compare it to something like flooring or construction. The goal is for no one to notice anything at the end product, like nothing is out of place. You just see floor, or whatever. Since there's no flaws, you just see it in more generalized way which means it's out of your mind and you're more immersed

Im sorry to be negative. I love the video but when going over mw2 bullet and mag animations you kept on saying clip and they dont use clips they use mags. You said it like 10 times and it made my head hurt lol. But if you can just call it mag that would be great (old rifles like the M1 garand use clips)

Horizon Zero Dawn: Every robot is marked with the symbol of the Cauldron where it was built. Same applies to Forbidden West. In fact, at 8: 01, when you show the Shell-Walker, you can see the Cauldron symbol on the crate.
There's more. If you damage a machine's leg, it'll limp.
