Totally lost interest with Dying Light 2, after putting in 40 hours being a thorough explorer I got the game breaking bug where I can't upgrade any of my tools. and after months of patches later the Devs have yet to fix it.
And said bug is so easily replicated from just playing the game! (Answering a Distress Call to another player's game who's progress is ahead of yours unlocking tools you don't have yet yourself that are 'upgradable' back in your own game. Upgrading them before you actually have the tool is what causes the bug.
Unbelievable how the devs never caught it.

Also Ghosts of Tsushima, The Ruined King: A League of Legends story (extremely good classic RPG and a great entry point for Runeterra's lore) I could go on, but I'm trying to stick to games that are notable for also being on console and not explicitly better on PC (i. e. Frostpunk which is an INCREDIBLE game but vastly superior on PC)
The PS4 port of Darkest Dungeon is also pretty well done.

I got my PS5 3 weeks ago and I honestly thought I'd dive straight into GoW, but SIFU caught me by surprise! I wasted several hours there and now after getting everything, I just want to play it again from scratch. Of course, after that I sank my last PTO week off on GoW (almost 60h in a week, worth it)
Now. I'll start Nier Automata for the first time

Sniper Elite 4 is awesome. It can be found for really cheap since the newest one is out but I would recommend picking up that one because it's very similar.
It might be my favorite game on my ultrawide monitor. Something about third person shooters works really well on an Ultrawide. Game still looks gorgeous too.

Even though it's definitely not new, I think The Witcher 3 deserves an honorable mention on the list. The next-gen upgrade really brought a lot to the table and breathed new life into it. Not like we needed another excuse to play The Witcher 3, but it certainly makes it that much better when we do.

Cult of the Lamb is very good. I am writing this comment as I am playing it at the moment on Xbox Series X. However, I must advise you to not get it on Nintendo Switch. I got on Switch and ended up getting a refund because of how buggy and unstable the game was on Switch.

I don't even think there are 25 games total on the PS5, let alone playstation exclusives. This is a pretty misleading title because besides Gran Turismo, God of War, and Horizon, you can just play these on PC. Which God of War and Horizon will eventually be released on PC.

God of War, RDR2, Witcher 3, Ghost of tsushima, and literally nothing else. It s been a huge dry spell with a massive influx of hot stinking garbage. I thought this new gen tec would bring a plethora of awesome games and I m massively disappointed.

Sonic Frontiers is wildly overrated. I understand that people were grading on a 3D Sonic game curve at first, but the game barely functions. Shameful how many reviewers recommend the game at all, let alone having it almost broach the top 10.

Also, a game that came to console this year is called Spellforce Reforced. It s a fun rpg/RTS hybrid, story driven, lots of spoken dialogue, very customizable, with even PvPvE. You can play the 2 hour trial version of if for free

So many good games this year! No way I'm going to finish the games I have before the flood of the 2023 great games! I really love the games mentioned, almost all of them.
2022 for me was a mind blowing gaming year.
