10 Most UNIQUE AAA Games of The Last 5 Years Neo: Wow. Really stoked (and a bit surprised) to see all the love for Control in the comments! I knew people liked it, just wouldn't have expected it to be the main standout from this list. although it absolutely deserves it.
Definitely one of the best new IP's of this millennium. I can only imagine how much bigger and better the next one will probably be since the first was a success.
I just picked up Deathloop on PC and finished it not long ago, and it was a pleasant surprise too. I wish it had leaned into the time shenanigans a bit harder, but it still felt like a pretty fresh and novel experience.

I would have changed the the timeframe of this video to 6 years and included Prey and/or Subnautica: Below Zero instead of Deathloop. I wouldn't consider Deathloop an immersive sim, since it has too much immersion-breaking stuff. And although its time mechanic is interesting and needs some degree of planning ahead, in the gameplay you are not as much concerned about the passage of time.
Prey on the other hand is the first and so far only (modern) game I know of (Arma III not included as I wouldn't consider it a AAA title) where the term immersive is not just a buzzword, but actually executed pretty well, from how you interact with the world to how the world provides you with information. Also, Prey and Subnautica: Below Zero absolutely nail the horror aspect without resorting to jump scares or gore.

Ok. no. Elden Ring is unique by default my ass. You wake up, tutorial, rest at a site, enemies respawn, you die and lose all of your shit. If you're lucky you can get it back. Bosses are super hard. Quests are ludicrously vague and counterintuitive. Healing flasks. Asymmetrical multiplayer. Please, stop me if you've heard all of this before because it sounds super familiar.
It is unique among FromSoftware's other titles, but I struggle to justify it any further.
Just be honest. You can't resist an opportunity to jump on Elden Ring's balls.

I adore the new God Of War games, but part of me misses the combat and even fixed camera of previous games. I wish they do spin offs like they did with the PSP games but this time focusing on how did Kratos arrived at Midgard, or how he met his wife, the old school combat would make these games easier, cheaper and faster to develop by just giving us a small adventure but with GOW3 gameplay and graphics with new epic beard Kratos. That's my dream because I am in need of more Kratos.

Ff7 is NOT a fu. remake. If it was i would have killed Sephirot at the end. Not some fu. Kingdom hearts monster and then JUST left Midgard after 30 hours of strechted story full of new characters and events that brought nothing to the world of the game and no one asked for.
At this rate i dont even know if i live long enough to see the end of this remake
Audio, visuals and gameplay are great.
Story and pacing are fu. d up

STEEL RISING is another strange and great game. I'm currently playing it and the setting, story, and characters are really interesting. Plus you have the option to play in God mode so to speak, which allows you to not get hurt for the most part. I love games that offer this because I am not 15 years old and have no time for aggravation from a video game Lol

I think the dark souls trilogy is triple A, the games have large budget, nothing indicating it to fall into as an indie game, graphics were on par for their time, the world and lore building is pretty fleshed, they weren t games just no one heard of everyone in the early 2010s new dark souls was one of the most difficult modern games

Unliked the video for saying that Sekiro doesn't feel like a triple A game when the whole combat system is the best there is and the game is an incredible masterpiece. If you can't define what triple A is but you still aknowledge the revolutionary aspect of a game and the effort poured in, you wouldn't have made that comment.

I really need to give Control another try, I really wanted to like it. Hopefully it was just the headspace I was in at the time or I needed to scratch a different itch, but it just wasn't doing it for me. I found it pretty monotonous. Absolutely love the idea of exploring a high-rise in that way and the aesthetic.

Falcon: why do you talk like a douchebag? Stop talking like a douchebag. Gameranx videos would be better off without this ridiculous intonation. Like it's not really a sequel to KH2. It's a sequel. frankly. to a bunch of games that came out. between. the game it's technically a sequel to. STOP TRYING TO SOUND COOL. YEESH!

I see games like, God Of War (every third person action game ever but good, Monster Hunter World (the game of the series that has been going on for decades, Kingdom Hearts 3 (which is also a part of the big series, Deathloop (copied Prey Mooncrash) in a video titled ''10 Most UNIQE AAA GAMES of The Last 5 Years''. No.

I honestly didn t find god of war super unique. I think it combines a lot of ideas in a way that s kinda unique but I wouldn t call it one of the most unique AAA games in the last 5 years. It s a departure from its predecessors so it s unique in that way but not overall. I still enjoyed it, it was good.

Aight man, I've been watching your videos for a while, and you've grown on me as a host / writer / narrator. Thanks for all the stuff you put out.
From that place - of respect and admiration - I gotta get this off my chest: that's not how you pronounce iterate.
Alright, keep up the good work.

I like Kingdom hearts mostly because of how much emotional it is and make me feel in way s that I normally on games don t have much impact. Kh2 and 3 were the best definition of that.
Also having popular music like let it go or he is an pirate in games is quite the dedication to game itself for me

Sorry Elden Ring fans but its wasn't a unique game. You just moved Dark souls into an open world. with collectables a story you have to find and boss battles at you dodge roll and stab in the back. You just made the map larger and added a horse. If this comment triggers you its because its true haha
