Microsoft has acquired BLIZZARD. Does this mean that the Ability to play WoW on Console might Become a thing? No Diablo4 for Sony players?
A game that will take 10 years? Hopefully it's not ES6, because that would be disappointing. But. Perhaps a Completely new RPG set in the Warcraft Universe?
Microsoft has All of Activision and Blizzards IPs, all of Zenimax Medias IPs, And so much more. Hopefully this means more Choice.
Realistically though. PC seems like the best option these days. Get A Nintendo Switch and a Decent Gaming PC, and whatever Controller you are most comfortable with, and you are set. Considering 90% of the big games are on pc, from both Microsoft and Sony. Sure, they could go full exclusivity, but that would hurt them in the end. A smart company would charge a percentage of sales to their rival company, in exchange for a Release of the game on their system, instead. But nobody ever called Sony or Microsoft SMART.

I never been on the bandwagon of wich console is the best.
I often when I could affored usually had one of each nintendo, PS and Xbox.
But in recent year settled with PS and PC.
For a major reason, as people already stated here no matter how good your console is technologywise if you don't have games the console won't sell.
PS5 spits out games even if some is ports most of them is first party games.
Xbox lack the later.
Talking of buying up classical games studios.
Heard sony bought up pygnosis and they have some cool titles if made into modern versions.
Like the classical horror game Ecstatica would have loved to see a modern take on that one and it's sequel.

With seeing how some games launched buggy mess and broken i wonder why they didnt just launch it digitaly atleast the hardcore fans would buy it
And about xbox jeff dont really need an insider to tell him and certainly we dont need him to tell us the state of xbox i mean a console launching with no first party games and last year no big first party title and this year what? Redfall in 30 fps and even if it was 60 fps the game scream no quality. So we all can see what state xbox are in you gameranx are too nice and embrace everything but a little hobest critism can actualy be more positive for xbox especialy from fans.

Guys game is undeniably a business right? But you can see the biggest success in the gaming industry the games were made under a passioned team! Bungie made halo when they were a small company and the investiment was small. Fast forward nowadays! Halo infinite costed around 750 millions! And thir ways to get the profit back is milking players with session pass, and paid market! Obviously no one is happy about it! Players lost features that once was all in one game! And developers are not happy because the game is not as profitable as expected! The values changed Soo drastically! And Microsoft seems not to get it!

Microsoft being unhappy with them is obvious. The amount of companies and rights to games they have bought for first party games and there's nothing to show for it. Not to mention that Halo infinite took, what, 6 years to make? And was practically a beta when it released and was still basically a beta for a whole year. It's obvious Microsoft is unhappy and that's most likely putting it really nicely. I wouldn't doubt if there was actual smoke coming out of their ears.

Im a PS guy my whole life, but I think it's not just Xbox fans that are upset. I, being a PS5 owner am actually very unhappy with MY purchase of my PS5. Everything is great about it when it comes to games and how PS handles their yearly drops. But I am very unhappy with the hardware on the PS5, especially the fan! I think only a few months after I purchased it the fan already died and now it overheats after only 20 minutes of playing current gen games. My PS3 NEVER overheated, my PS4 NEVER overheated. But the PS5 pooched out after just a few months.

People who legitimately say or think that they have nothing to play. don't know anything and need to get educated. Or at least just open their damn eyes. - It's IMPOSSIBLE to run out of any consumable media. You can do it for every second of the rest of your life and have new content non-stop. - Just stop with the whining. The disappointment from the higher ups surrounding High-fi rush is very surprising to me. Especially since ive heard nothing but genuine and enthusiastic praise about the game, which was refreshing, considering how rare a reception like that is with all the cynicism in the industry. I was happy for the devs that they seemingly knocked one out of the park, and with a secret release nonetheless. I guess with some people, enough is never enough: /

I'm not disappointed with my Xbox Series S, but losing retail mode emulators really sucked, and I find that the system lacks its own distinct identity. It feels a lot like an Xbox One that doesn't make you wait a half hour to play a Soul Calibur 6 match. (Which may be a good thing if you liked the Xbox One library but didn't like the mammoth load times)

The original ST: BF games were just so damn amazing. The new BF 2 seems to have landed in a good state, but still. Also, yeah, PS has released first party games, but too many of them have been DoA. Ragnarok and Horizon(for those who like that series) were great, but what else stands out? Forspoken? Lol

As an Xbox guy since the 360 days I am extremely unhappy too - I am in Central America and paid like 1100 for my Series X on March 2021. and had to buy a f cking PS4 on May last year to start playing actual big exclusive 1st party games. if sh t keeps like this, my next next-gen console will be Sony's

xbox fairing a lot better than ps5. got barely any new exclusives and the hardware isn't great compared to Xbox, that dualsense edge doesnt seem apealing considering their basic controller's battery doesnt last an evening. definitely planning on cutting my ps+ subscription before I cut the gamepass.
