The actual fighting seems great but Im really dissapointed in Invasions. The fights seem too similar. I kept having to fight kitana just in different clothes and it doesn't feel like progression. I miss the puzzles and exploring the Krypt. Too many secret fights found accidentally where its almost annoying that I have to do more fights. Finally there is not great incentives to play. I finished the story and didn't get any coins for the cosmetic gotcha. I use to always do fatalities because it unlocked things in the krypt and extra coins but now I barely use fatalities because I don't feel any bennefit.
Also Shang Tsung is a significant cbaracter to the point where he should not have been a pre-order bonus. Even Quan-Chi and ermac were in it enough where I am frustrated that they are DLC later.
I LOVE Mortal Kombat but this is the first game by them where I feel no need to play it after a week.

Offline Kontent for this game is amazing. The online kontent is a broken mess. u might as well put the controller down sometimes. 50-90 percent combos. broken Kameo resets. unbalanced kameo moves. unbalanced characters. some are too fast like Smoke. some as super slow. Projectile spamming and the fact it takes 3 bars to break these super long combos. soon as you break a combo u can easily get setup with an overhead low guessing game right back into OP combo strings. but the offline kontent is so much fun. The story is amazing, the invasions are fun so far. its missing some quality of life things (not being able to select your costume each fight, no dialogue offline in towers, and more) its almost like the game was released at 80 percent complete. its fun. but its not whole.

I'm going to guess that framerate issues are only relegated to PC players, I assume. Since I and some other streamers I've watched play have had frame drops like it was no one else's business, especially just today I had frame issues to the point there was a loading screen between cutscenes like it was Mortal Kombat vs DC. Hopefully NRS puts out a patch for my situation, but honestly surprised that frame drops, or stuttering weren't mentioned, but I guess it could be because beta testing was done for consoles only, maybe.

Preordered the Premium Edition. Honestly Mortal Kombat 1 feels more like an MK game than 11. While I loved the more theatrical feel of 11, 1 just gets straight to the point. Also really glad that they toned down the Fatal Blow system. Hated that when I played 11 it always felt like a when will he use it type of thing. Really halted the match at times. Luckily you can block and punish more when an opponent tries to use it. Also SPOILERS. GLAD THAT AN OG MK CHARACTER IS THE BIG BAD GUY THIS TIME AROUND.

it's a great game and if you ever we a fan of fighting games or MK it is a great time to come back and check things out. Except on switch. That 70 game is hot garbage and not worth the price!

I got early acces a bit cheaper throw Eneba (100% recommend it) and have played for around 5 hours and loved it A LOT! Specially the story, it really takes a hold of you to see how and when your favorite characters will show up, I also love pulling a brutality and the aerial combos! So satisfying because I really suck at fighting games
And as Jake said, can't wait for Omniman, Homelander and John Cena

The dlc characters being Homlander omniman and peacemaker is really dope as I watched all 3 shows but im still not a huge fighting game enthusiast and have never liked playing online. I play for the story and the single player stuff like towers of time and now invasions. but after looking at the new mode im kinda disappointed, it looks more like a chore than a fun mode imo.

As al2ays ill wait for the definitive edituin on sale. Not wasting more money cause they throw oit incomplete games and make us pay for all those dlc. Have gotten every game with all the content without more than 20 dollars. But people love giving away their hard earned money, and theyll keep doing it. They made gamers believe its okay to bleed them out.

I plan to get it for the switch because I don't have a PS5 or Xbox Series SX or whatever the latest Xbox I would get the one thing that gave it to me early and all the DLC attached to it if it didn't cost Uber a 100 so when I get the chance I'm just gonna buy the base version and just purchase the DLC separate But it looks fun and I want to try it

Don't worry, they'll probably milk this version dry, then make MK 1. 5 and then add all the cameo characters to the roster. Selling it again at full price, knowing people will rush out pay that for things they should've gotten with this game. That's the current VG industry, as well as the current modern gaming community. What's new?

I hate how kameos made half the characters unplayable and people are defending it claiming they wouldn't exist then, no the real reason kameos exist is because the developers are too lazy to add gameplay and fatalities of more characters. This is just lazy design disguised as an excuse to add less.

Warning for people who play competitively: All you ll see in online is people who do the exact same combos and block the entire game or people who never stop spamming buttons, forcing YOU to block the entire game. You may also very rarely encounter projectile spammers but use Johnny Cage for them.

I grew up playing mk, so happy to see 3D characters back, but can t help but be annoyed that shang Tsung, Quan chi and ermac aren t base roster even though they re huge parts of the story. Also miss having the krypt- a cool giant puzzle replaced by singular fights with annoying projectiles

For me, fighting games have always been the most enjoyable when they're being played by two people sitting on the same couch or playing together on an arcade cabinet. playing online with some random person that may be across the globe isn't as fun. Is it the in your face trash talk? Maybe.

I love how polite most characters are. It mirrors real life. Only 3% of the population are psychopaths/dark triad anti-social. Most people prefer to not jump at every opportunity to be an asshole and start conflict.
Smoke and Reptile are good bois in this game.

I feel like they could ve had a bigger roster. And in my opinion the story was kinda mid, not really digging the whole timeline concept, I figured with a soft reboot they d come up with something new. Also gets kinda old when Shang Tsung keeps coming back as the big bad.

Also I know baraka is supposed to have his look BUT! I can t fathom how lui kang made a new era and instead of keeping Barakas race/ culture he turned it into a sickness! So is baraka in more pain then he s ever been in before? And why? I have questions lui kang!

Jake if this is anything like mk11 I m not interested I loved mk10 I felt the over all combat was better than mk11 and I felt that the enhanced button set up was done all wrong on mk11 mk10 and mk9 felt like actual mortal kombat so if this is anything like 11 I m out

I'm in no way good at these games, but I freaking love MK. 2011s reboot really hooked me for its following trilogy and injustice was the cherry on top. This new reboot is kick ass as well. Got my collectors edition, now I just hope injustice 3 isn't far away
