You guys had quite a few choices I would want to see. The choices not mentioned on your list that I have make sense to me, but there's a brutal truth to them. First, I honestly want to see Bomberman. However, he (like Simon Belmont) is a Konami character as well. Konami being where they are as a company right now leaves a lot doubt that they would give gamers this. Second, I want to see Banjo-Kazooie. Now this one is highly unlikely given that one of the most nostalgic duos of gaming is owned by Microsoft. After the abysmal third game known as Nuts and Bolts, Microsoft has just sat on the license and not really done anything with it. Selling it to Nintendo would be great, but let's be real here and acknowledge that Microsoft would rather want a cut and exposure of the characters in order to promote them for an Xbox exclusive in the future.
EDIT: I also remembered Rayman. He would be an awesome addition to Smash Bros. Also, it would be great if Ubisoft did a Mario and Rayman crossover. The Rabbids game was well done, but I think a Mario and Rayman game would be fantastic.

Who let the new guy put Waluigi on the list and spout lies like, -He's clearly the best Nintendo character?- I dislike Waluigi just on shear principal. Wario's name derived from flipping Mario's M upside-down. Waluigi is just -Wa- in front of Luigi. That's not really derivative. Had they flipped the L on the cap and noticed that it looked similar to a lower-case -r- and named him Ruigi, I would not despise him so much. If they do end up adding him to the roster, which I'm sure that they will at some point, I'll be playing multiple hours of -let's see how many Waluigis I can destroy.-
The number 1 and 2 picks are great though. I would reverse the order of them, but that's just me.

If I may be blunt here I don't think having Goku in smash would be a good idea, not because he hasn't originally been in a videogame, but because I think he is a powerful character and that would mean a lot of nerfing on the Canon which might be what puts a bad taste in people's mouth. And if he is as strong as Canon shows he would be broken and completely unfair. That's just my take on it I don't watch DB or DBZ or anything.

They should add Billy from commander keen he's kinda cartoony I can't remember any attacks it's been so long since I've played those games but billy/comander keen wat ever his name is pretty sure it's billy tho he needs to be in smash also kinda like a cartoony counterpart to bj
