10 Most Cringiest Moments in Video Games I love the quick quippy language. I don't know if it was invented with Buffy the Vampire Slayer, but I think that probably brought it to popularity. I still enjoy that kind of dialogue. It may not be realistic, but everything I see it in isn't representing the real world, so I don't see what the problem is. Really the only thing that I felt was cringe was the FF commercial for cup noodles. Most of what you covered was not. great dialogue, but it wasn't beyond awful.

Im soooo happy that I played mass effect trilogy for the first time in 2016 I was kind of done after PS3 and I never really wanted to buy next gen (xbox one ps4) randomly at Christmas time I got myself a xbox 360 as I've never had one I was a PlayStation guy well my favourite console is still Dreamcast but mostly I would play on Sony console with xbox as a second one but that never happened with 360, so I got one and dear lord that got me back in to gaming, Alan Wake was my first game I olayed on 360 but let me just say that the following Christmas I sit down and finish one after another the whole Mass effect trilogy and the end was soooo bad no satisfaction whatsoever I was happy and pissed at the same time.

Is it possible te adress the issues the 2. 01 patch brought to Cyberpunk
On PS5:
The save file corruped is still not fixed
Trying to close the game: it wont, and corrupt your save files
Go to V's first apartment and the frame rate drops (game plays in slow mo)
Trying to sell or go to put stuff in V's stach can corrupt your game files
I reached out to CD project red support but i got the same reply twice
-> i needed to reinstall the game but that did not help.
I hope you can help bring this to their attention.
Thx in advance.

Descent was Parallax before there was a Volition. Descent 4 was cancelled but part-of its code went into Red Faction. I m guessing that s why the underwater sequences were so entertaining. Descent: Freespace was developed by Volition. Freespace kinda became its own thing at that point, like a spinoff series of Descent. I wanna grab Overload for PS4. I hear the frame-rate gets a nice bump on the 5. I really wouldn t mind seeing another space-combat sim from that crew.

I actually liked that bookend to Mass Effect, but it obviously would've been more resonant if Andromeda was better. Andromeda was the perfect this series can continue forever like Final Fantasy idea and well. we saw how that turned out.
If Andromeda was fantastic, that bookend to Shepard's story would declare him as a Martyr to inspire space travel for the next century for boy and girls in the milky way to exceed past the initial series.

Worst part of the SR reboot is that it shut down Volition, thus leading Deep Silver into thinking SR is not a good series and they'll can it, not because they botched the game, but because they're gonna be like oh no this game did bad, not because we made it terrible, but because people didn't like it, therefore it's not a lucrative series and we'll never see the SR2 patch since Volition is now gone, it was all for nothing.

i really enjoyed ffxv but that quest was a really bad idea, they made it worse by giving gladio that quest because it really doesnt suit his voice, plus it'd be pointless as a quick food for them because they have ignis, if they HAD to have cup noodles feature in the game then they shouldve made it a side quest from a minor character
but no matter how cringy it was it'll never top the laugh from ffx lol

Lilianna's song isn't gibberish. It's sung in elvish. The lyric translation is in the game somewhere. It's been a really long time since I played, so I don't remember where. Sure the lip sync in the game isn't the greatest, but she does decide to sing this song when things get dire. Note that she will sing the song too early when you power game the relationship stuff with gifts. Then it will seem out of place.

Yeah, rarely do celebrities deliver convincing voice acting from what I've seen. I understand the idea behind it'll be cool to get real players, or the guy who's been to the actual friggen moon, and to be fair, it is to some degree, but outside of that context they don't sound good. could we try a VA coach next time, or at least try a few more takes please?
reply

I always closed my eyes whenever I got to Leliana's song scene until it she stops singing. The scene is not too bad that way. But it's a shame that the rest of the game and all subsequent Bioware games so far have equally generic animation. BG 3 showed Bioware how it's done right even though that was Larian's first attempt at cinematics.

I remember loving Heavy Rain when it first came out in 2010 or whatever it was. Had nothing but fond memories of it. Went back and played it again a few years ago, and have no idea what I was thinking at the time. I felt so embarrassed while I was playing it that I almost turned it off several times. That game is a complete mess.

The old man who said My Sweet at the end of Mass Effect was played by Buzz Aldrin. If you don't know. which you should. He was the 2nd man to walk on the moon right behind Neil Armstrong
Pretty sure the devs added the scene as a tribute to the early space explorers and to also promote people's curiosity of the Universe

I should have been the one to fill your dark soul with LIGHT.
Dear me. Why did you remind us, Falcon? Second hand embarrassment is real here. I can t believe they heard that and kept it in the game with the voice crack as well - and had the audacity, the temerity to use reverb on it.

None of these were cringe. Smfh, Idk why I even watch sometimes. On that same note, me and my friends talk like the folks in Saints Row. It's the reason I have it mastered so for the stories I write. Every character is based on people I know. But, yeah, disagree with this whole video.
reply

I couldn't disagree with you more on number 6. All those Heavy Rain scenes were hot. Also, the uncanny valley thing I see people complain about on the internet sounds like first world problems to me. Long as the gameplay and or story is good who cares about the graphics.
reply

Number 6: JASOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONNNNNN in the middle of the ending is hilarious, you can press x to jason in one of the endings, but if you press x throughout the rest of the mission and and through the cutscenes, it still works, it's a glitch, and it's funny

That NBA players aren't the greatest actors on the planet was something we were made painfully aware of in the 90s. Didn't the team behind NBA 2K15 watch Shazaam? Steel! Spacejam? Those who refuse to learn from history are doomed to repeat it.
reply

Whaaaat? Cup noodles wasn't cringe! It was hilarious! They dialed it up to 11 when the normal tone of the game rests on 7. They were overplaying it on purpose, trying to make the player laugh while fulfilling their contractual obligations.

The Crisis Core stuff was interesting. What made the character of Genesis go from just plain bad to awful and cringe was that it was an OC JPOP guy. Once I learned that it just broke all immersion and just ruined the whole game for me.
