Beware
Since you added a Final Fantasy game to the list, I would nominate FFXV as well as allowing you to pretty much be the boss by the end of the game, especially the post-game dungeons. The Black Hood that you get from Pitioss Ruins allows Noctis to auto-dodge attacks. Combine this with the Ring of the Lucii, which has an attack that can suck enemies into a vortex and that's already a pretty powerful combo. But you can take it up a notch further by using the Ring to farm the Adamantoise. The items given from this can be crafted ro create the strongest of the magic spells. If you went through Pitioss as well, that gave you an opportunity to collect a decent amount of Oracle coins which can be traded to get pink ribbons that nullify all status ailments. And lastly, ensuring Ignis learns the Lasagna al Forno recipeh. This nullifies all elemental damage and stays in effect for a pretty long time.
So, now you have a character that is much harder for enemies to hit, can't be felled by pretty much any status ailments, has the strongest magic attacks, you're impervious to most magic attacks being cast on you, and you have a Ring that can one-shot most enemies in a room (and even the Adamantoise takes about 15 minutes or less to defeat with the Ring. All of this made the extra dungeons at the end of the game pretty damn easy and I don't think I died to any of the bosses.

I'm surprised that 3 parts in I haven't seen Alexios or Kassandra from AC: O. Granted you're pretty bad ass in all AC series but actually controlling a demigod who just gets more powerful as they unlock more demigod skills, steamrolling through hundreds of soldiers as if they're just fodder, and only really giving you a challenge when against literal legendary enemies and gods like cyclops, Medusa, and legendary beasts among others. You zip through enemies and literally teleport to their side as you rip their hearts open, with a myriad of unblockable one hit skills. I don't even know why mercenaries bother chasing your bounty when they have to literally be 20 to 30 levels above you to be any bit more challenging. And yeah you can't fly but by mid game you can pretty much jump from any height without any damage, I mean if that's not a boss idk what is

Sonic Frontiers: Final Horizons. The game recently got a free story update, which essentially provides an alternative ending to the game. It's considerably harder than the base game, and has gotten some flack for that. But your reward is Super Sonic Cyber, or Super Sonic 2. Super Sonic already felt like a beast in his boss fights, but this upgrade takes it to another level. Canonically, he's holding back because he has to, or else his power will leave him, and it shows. The way he hand waves away attacks, or when time slows down when you parry the boss and he has his eyes closed until the last moment and he counterattacks, and if you use the Cyloop on him, he'll crush the boss's back against the moon, making this blood like fluid spurt out. It all helps to sell that this new form for Sonic is absolutely unstoppable.

Hey guys. Great video as always. But as a long time fan, I'm worried about the quality of the edits. We have seen editing errors in the past few videos, every single one of them. From unfinished sentences to the host saying a part of the script twice, these editing mistakes are getting more and more frequent and noticeable. Thanks again for all the awesome content you guys make.

Dark Souls, Demon Souls, and Elden Ring you are the boss.
Think about it.
Every boss had to train for years to master their weapon and spells.
You can just use EVERYTHING.
You therefore are the true end boss. I mean you do massacre demi gods, monsters, eldrich beasts, dragons, and literal gods for a living after all.

Skyrim should be on here- You're basically just a survival horror boss for every bandit you come across. Also, just wanted to thank you guys for the consistently good content. I'm watching this from a bunker as my country's getting bombed, and y'all are really helping me get through this.

Making the main character weaker than they were in the last game can work
That basically the Metroid formula as Samus is always losing her powers and skills at the start of the game. Then has gain them back slowly (how and why does not always make sense to me though)

I think Devil May Cry is a good example, especially 4, where Dante feels like the bad guy half the game, mocking Nero and beating his a. In DMC 5 you get your butt kicked. Maybe only in 3 is the best example, where you can actually play AS the final boss, Vergil.

Ghost of tsushima should be on here. Jin becomes a boss. The enemy becomes afraid of the ghost, they talk about the ghost and what he does etc. And especially when activate ghost mode (I think thats what it's called, when u click in both joysticks)

Eternal Darkness for GameCube is another one that, by the end if the game, you are supercharged and basically even the game s final boss is easy. However, still a lot of fun to play and own all the enemies

Happy Thanksgiving to any fellow Canadians watching today! We celebrate it in October because we use the metric system. I'll be using Boss level turkey carving skills today, so thanks for amping me up!

I watched a play through of Survivor(Don't have a PS5 yet) But does the darkness end up taking over the Slow ability? because isn't that the Enhanced Slow button and even the movement?

FFXVI eikon battles had to much light effects, imo, that its hard to appreciate what's going in. by the end, you were just a ball of light bouncing against the final boss

It just feels great running through everyone like your the hardest boss in a souls game instead of getting absolutely demolished like a common enemy everytime you play

Prototype, Quantum break, prince of persia the two thrones, yakuza's Kazuma kiryu, etc. I think the protagonists in these games are absolute boss level protagonists.

I think when I played Cyberpunk, I felt bits of Crysis and Far Cry with the way you can approach enemy bases and combat, especially with the cloaking ability.

I've said this of Armored Core before, it's really rough at first, but once you get the hang of you'll be zipping around taking out fools like you were born for it.
