So when I first started the yakuza series I was coming off mafia so I was kinda disappointed at first but yakuza has become one of my favorite series and I had to honestly give the man who erased his name a 10/10 and I’ve only given that high a rating about 3 or 4 other times movies and games and tv shows all included but that game brought every single emotion out of me and I just cannot recommend it enough

THE DEFINITIVE EDITION IS NOT WORTH IT! its full of glitches, all the new stuff they've implemented is poorly done and the atmosphere is completely destroyed because of the default unreal engine graphics. its an overpriced cashgrabs and you shouldn't buy it. i literally can't stand playing more than 2 missions in vice city because of how bad the game plays, its basically a poorly modded version of the original game

Here in Italy we say just Cosa Nostra,
not la cosa nostra.
The definite article la at the beginning gives the expression a generic flavor which changes the meaning.
Basically it's like the difference between something of ours or our thing (with the article,

Empire of Sin is from 2020 I seriously had to look that up, I would have sworn it was in 2023. I remember thinking I might check it out, but reviews were very disappointing, so I didn't and it is on my backlog. Makes me realize that I literally havent done anything since 2020, it seems like that game came out 5 months ago.

I know it's a of last 5 years video but everyone should do a playthrough of Sleeping Dogs. Definitely the best crime/gangster game I've played to date. (I've played most GTA games, gta4 is my shiz) Sleeping Dogs is kinda old and clunky but something different altogether idk how to explain it.

Just played the Mafia Definitive Edition trilogy over the last few weeks and the first was definitely the best. The other two just don't capture me in the story like the first one. Would have been nice though if they worked on the driving a bit more since it still is rough.

Yeah, Mafia: Definitive Edition is such quality. I believe I completed in 10 hours, but the way its story is told and how you organically experience the game world is just so comforting. I highly recommend it to those who haven’t played it.

Personally I think the OG Mafia was better, or at least who Tommy Angelo was. In the Original he was more of a humble man doing what he had to in order to get by. In the 'definitive' he became some guido just wanting to rise. shame

I miss the old Saints Row 2. I play it on my Deck still. it's still so much fun. The story is still good. Voice acting is great and hilarious. Miss games like this. I played 3, didnt like how it became to goofy. The new on sucks.

The Godfather games were so good, but obviously not in the last 5 years.
List is kinda weak tbh, there hasn't been good gangster games for a hot minute, so not sure if restricting it to last 5 years was a wise choice.

This is an old one, but one of my favorite gangster game ever is the Godfather 2 on the 360. That was some of the most fun I've ever had playing a game and I feel like it doesn't get enough credit for what it was

All the gangster games is probably contributing to the mental status of most people and also contributing to why people are acting so crazy and not caring about their fellow man. I’m done with gangster games.

They really dont have enough gangster games, or open world crime games for that matter. Sucks for me because it’s pretty much one of the only games I play, and I’ve simply run out of games I like to play.

Aside from Yakuza, the only gangster games I care about are RDR 1 and 2. I found GTA 5 super boring. Well, I guess you could count AC Sydicate to be a gangster game as well which isn't bad, but that's it.

Hong Kong Massacre is a lot of fun, I play it on switch. I beat it awhile ago and still go back and enjoy it every time. I appreciate the brutal combat where a single bullet kills you or the enemy
