I bought A Way Out because it was on sale and looked interesting. Last summer I played it with my boyfriend, and I really had a good time. We sat beside each other when we played. Me on controller and him on keyboard and mouse. I laughed a lot, and the game exceeded my expectations. I bought It Takes Two because it’s from the same studio and also a co-op game. My boyfriend and I haven’t played it yet, but I certainly want us to. And I definitely want to get Split Fiction as well. I watched this video to get a better idea of what the game is like, but now I’m even more interested in getting it.

We really enjoyed a way out and it takes two, and we were looking for another game like them to play for a long time glad this game finally came out and good to hear that it has a bunch of the stuff we love and even more things we haven’t seen yet. We enjoy playing over the course of multiple evenings a couple hours at a time and we completed the other two games within a week so maybe we’ll get some more playtime out of this one. I definitely don’t want to rush through it cause I’ll be very sad once it’s finished and I have nothing else to play with her.

I'm just gonna say it. 5: 08 This is becoming a pattern with games that force a female protagonist into them for no real reason. We all feel it, nobody will say it. Jake, I'm gonna assume the reason the person you played it with enjoyed the cringey protagonists, is because it was your wife If so, figures - they usually are the only ones who can look past it. It's time for these devs to go back to what works, female protagonists just don't hit with 99% of the base.

My partner and I have almost finished It takes Two 3 times. We’ve started again on different platforms but never gotten to finish it because of life lol
Immediately we finish it, we’re hopping into split fiction. The studio just nails the fun of couch co-op, extremely engaging storytelling and bloody dynamic gameplay.
A perfect experience for a causal gamer trying to get his less enthusiastic gamer wife to play along. Looking forward to this!

Couch coop should never die. This is honestly my most anticipated game of the year, played It takes two with my gf and honestly it was one of the best gaming experiences i've ever had. It's the game that got her into games. We're expecting to play this all weekend, and i'm sure it's gonna be a blast. Will support and keep supporting developers like this, it's not even out and I can't wait to see what game they'll come up with in the future!

Thanks for the explanation about how it'll be more challenging for those not used to control 3rd person camera, movement and aiming at the same time. This was what I was most concerned about as it has the potencial to ruin my wife's experience. But she enjoyed It Takes Two so much that I'll buy split fiction anyways just to try something close to that experience again.
And be patient with her, of course!

What a load of hazelight studios is not owned by EA, if EA tried to force them to do something they didn’t like they could take there game and walk over to any publisher they want, they just happen to have a good relationship with EA, but for how much longer since EA is going to EA and try to encourage them to put in micro transactions and all the rest of the they pull in the average EA game.

The great thing about Hazelight is you can really see the improvements they make in each released game. While the OTT exaggerated personalities are kind of annoying, it's easy to overlook because the games have such good variety, changes up all the time and are genuinely great fun. It's such a surprise that they are are under the EA Banner, they really are a quality studio producing something so unique.

Me and my bestie had a great time playing hazelight's other games and this one will definitely a pick up and play, even if it's a one and done sorta thing. Their previous games looked great and had near flawless performance which is a nice change compared to the AAA trash that's coming out. I'm really glad co op is making a resurgence and not just survival horror garbage either.

love it how they dont push an agenda or being too political in all of their games, finally some games you can flee from reality without political bs and ideology pushing stuff, also interesting how well this design resonates with the vast majority of gamers, also one of the reasons why the new monster hunter is so successful

Your take on it sounds a lot like how my husband and I felt about It Takes Two. Really amazing game and a fantastic co-op experience, but the writing and characters didn't super resonate with us, and the plot felt like it went in a few random directions for the sake of the next level. Definitely will check this one out too!

Been playing through It Takes Two on stream in preparation for this and this has honestly been the most fun I've had in a while. As someone that mainly plays COD its been so refreshing to play a game that doesn't take itself too seriously and is genuinely just fun! Cannot wait to play split fiction once it's released!

Well I was here just in case there was something terrible with the game. The moment Jake said it's recommended I'm out, don't want to spoil anything including visuals since I want to experience everything with my other half; ) Thanks so much tho, I never buy in blind these days and I needed that.

This game looks amazing! I kid you not I just had this idea a few weeks ago where I was like wouldn't it be cool if you had a game that kept changing the type of game it was during the game. I dismissed the idea of figuring it would be too expensive to build but it looks like they've done it.

10: 30 truer words have not been spoken in awhile. Social media is with full of hatred towards ubisoft and wokeness and dei and all that kinda crap and this is that and that is bad. In the end, games are entertainment products and if you have fun with a game, then the game is good!

I recently played it takes two with my boyfriend. While we had our gripes (we were both on keyboard, controls were a bit wonky; and my god we both found all the characters a little much) we did both have fun playing it and had a lot of laughs, and we both still reccomend it to others.

I played it takes two with a gamer friend and also with a non gamer (who insists they are a gamer because they played Mario once) and with the first one it felt more like a vs than a coop, with the second I spent more than 5 minutes watching them fail at doing a basic double jump

I played It Takes Two last year with my kid who lives 1500 miles away. We had a GREAT time. I'm not a platformer in any sense of the gamer word (RPGs, strategy, colony builders here, but after the first vacuum boss I got the hang of it. I'm eager to play this entry too!

I appreciate that you mentioned the varying skill aspect to this. Personally I played it takes two with my non gaming partner and she had heaps of fun. We would just swop controllers if she really got stuck. Now we just wait for it to go live on PSN with a price.

I played It Takes Two with my non-gamer girlfriend and she was furious with herself for not being able to do some basic (for me) stuff, but eventually she got there, and these games are just perfect to get people together even if they are not pro gamers
