I feel like you approached this game from a weird angle, like with creating horrendous textures and outfits. I think the AI features, 3D scanner and customisable textures as well as the ability to edit billboards etc. really opens up the ability to customise the world however you want. They don't seem like pointless additions as you said. For one being able to customise textures for clothing or spaces lets you essentially create whatever you want, like for example you could create futuristic clothing to match your futuristic apartment or maybe adopt a derelict appearance to match a post-apocalyptic setting etc.
I also feel like if you tried to play the game in a more traditional way you might have enjoyed it more instead of eyes everywhere textures and flesh clothing which probably made the game feel more bizarre. The fact that that's even possible though is great, you could even make some absurdist clothing and living spaces, like I'm thinking you could even make a miniature version of the town inside one of your rooms by scanning npcs and objects outside and creating the appropriate textures to match the outside world.

The game has so much potential but the problem is that obviously it isn't fully fleshed out yet and for some reason the soul is missing Can't really explain it, the bugs dont bother me at all, the details are incredible it seems as if there was so much love and effort put in but there is still something missing, i can't get myself to play it for too long. The character creation is AMAZING, the AI enhancements with basically creating everything you want by uploading a file is astonishing and im glad i supported it with my early acces purchase but it actually MADE ME play sims LOL!
If you want to support it, buy it now, if you want to get EVERYTHING in a fully fleshed out version, wait until its out of early access is my take. This comes from someone who started with sims 2 back in the days and is still obsessed with sims 3 and 4 and modded it to hell and back: ') Im so eager to see what the inzoi team will pull off tho, it looks PROMISING, and we need to give them more feedback i think it will pay off immensely!

I think this game is going in the right direction here. If this game perfected every simple and fundamental aspects, people would treat it like just another The Sims game and pass on and possibly ignore the rest of the patches coming after. Even if the developer adds more things to the game, it might be difficult for players who already played and think it's just another The Sims to come back. This way, instead, it's almost like an advertisement for people to keep monitoring the progress of the unfinished functions that are interesting but still in development until everything's done and, possibly, overpower The Sims. It can also continuously fund the project while gather feedback from the players and reviewers to choose what function they should continue or cut off from the game instead of investing time and money to perfect all the functions just to turn out some of them wouldn't be used by anyone.

well i've been playing since launch. heres what i have to say
is it rough around the edges yes it is.
but is the potential there yes. alot of it actually.
i cant really say that much about the daily life of the Zoi or anything. i've been playing normally for some of it. but not enough
but i have been building alot. the building in this game is addictive. its very good. the fact you can change furniture's appearances is pretty game changing too and implement your own textures is great. you can put your own art onto paintings.
im excited to see what this game becomes and to see what the modding community does. the Foundation is strong for this game. i hope the Devs build great things on it.

Talking as someone who bought the game and played for about 10 hours. Inzoi in EA right now is about 4/10.
There's nothing to do in the game. Eat, sleep, work. That's it. I say it needs 1 year more to be ok. 2 years to be fun. Plus modding tools will come on May so there's that to look forward to. Please don't get caught up by hype, its not better than the Sims atm BUT it could be in the future. Im really excited honestly, the roadmap is promising. Especially the potential mods in the future. Fortunately, I didn't experience crashes (only when I use any of the AI generation features.

I think that cat business weird corporate sinister thing you're picking up may have much to do with parts of South Koria's culture. When you look at things like Kpop and how it was built to compete as a business partly by their gov and party by biz culture, kind of gives off that sinister vibe, where normal life and entertainment is kind of being governed by cooperations. Same dort of thing with web tools or manwha they produce and competitive nature of their tech businesses intermingling with social presence.

I don't understand your apparent disgust from being allowed to make ugly textures and a dirty city if you choose. That's the point of these types of games. Total freedom. You can make it look good or bad. Why do you consider that bad It sounds awesome to me. You sound too much like a traditional gamer. The Sims type games are all about making your own stories and game play. You could technically say that everything in the Sims is pointless, but you'd be missing the point.

The game is good, but it scares me. Like there's something evil there, but i cannot put my finger on it. I think it's due to its realistic graphics and lack of lore. The game takes itself very seriously, which puts me off. Also the interface is too lab-like. Playing inzoi makes me feel like a mad scientist supervised by cats. When I play sims I feel like a kid playing dollhouse and I prefer that. I'm happy that inzoi exists though and I hope it will develop further.

a large majority of Steam reviews from players is largely positive. The critiques here aren't exactly wrong, I'm just really puzzled why there is a before you buy for what is essentially a public beta test. I also notice a lot of the really cool customization features that some people are LOVING are pointless and bizarre What's going on over there guys lol Either way I'm glad they released the early build cause I've been dying to play finally play around with it: D

I'm tired of how monopolistic, greedy and lazy EA has gotten and I'm also tired of how flamboyant and cartoonish the Sims' visuals have become. I've been wanting an alternative to that series for some time, and this looks compelling. Hopefully it will be what Cities: Skylines was to SimCity (before that series also immediately went south. It's nice when devs make games that they legit think people will enjoy rather than just trying to find ways to line their own pockets.

Call me a cynic, but I have a nagging feeling that this game may just be an overhyped cash-grab capitalizing on the Sims4-criticisms. I hope the developers prove me wrong, but I suspect the graphics and the quirks will stay barebones, and the promises won't really be fulfilled, and once enough people have paid full price for the early access they'll just abandon it for whatever reason. I'll wait 'till it's on sale at the very least. It just looks too good to be true.

I love how much is left up to the players and creatives! For content creators and storytelling purposes it’s utterly genius and will probably made the modding scene a lot more vibrant in the future! Cool stuff. So glad to see EA have some competition as someone who despises the direction of the sims over the last decade. The genre has so much potential and a massive market waiting for the right game. (Just like skyrim level sandbox open world players)

Game would be better if it had these questionable options: murder, jail, arrest times, court trials, criminal actions you can do, being wanted. And some other things maybe sports and other stuff but if you think these are to strange remember you can do things in bed with the other characters so I think it would just make it more fun for me personally if they added these things but now that I look at it I’m basically asking for gta sims

People tend to forget that this is not simply an early-access game from no-name developer. The InZoi studio is literally housed in one of South Korea's most successful game company (Krafton) and if there is one thing South Korea is well-known for, it's freakin entertainment. This is no run of the mills early access game since there is a lot of reputational stake for its success.

I am really interested in the game. It looks very ambitious and interesting, but I have doubts the developers can deliver on the obvious potential.
The fact that they are charging money for something in such bad technical shape is questionable. It seems to be taking the idea of early access to the extreme given how much development appears left to actually do.

It's SCARY if EA will create new SIMS real soon with good DRIVING mechanism. We all know they have NFS before so we all know what they can give when it comes to manual driving mode. Hope that this game will opens their mind. They made a terrible mistake before in NBA LIVE beat by NBA 2K so i hope that the SIMS will not be the next victim of their downfall.

I only spent about an hour in it and I dunno. It tries to be realistic but somehow, feels lifeless and plastic fake. Whereas The Sims just go with cartoony but because it is, the game can getaway with doing silly voices, activities, etc. making it more fun to play. I think InZoi needs to find its own thing and move away from being too simey going forward.

I was interested in this game until I found out it uses Generative AI for some of its texture generation.
The second I found that out, it was a hard pass for me. These kinds of tools shouldn't be in the final products of games but should be used as a tool to assist game development in my opinion.
A guiding point, so to speak

Maybe update your PC because there are several other people that have played three or four days straight of it and they have 2 to 3 hour gameplay per video and it looks smooth. It doesn’t be buggy like you say unless they’re editing it out then that’s very unfortunate. I just can’t wait for this shit to come to Xbox.

This is such a bad video. This game has more depth than 10 years of sims 4. Seriously. This is early access game and the video maker literally seen how far some things wernt complete. General gameplay is actually very good. Trying to get to end of map and making silly textures is their choice to put the game down.
