About #6 - TLoZLtP secret was actually known but it was just very common to be discussed. Same thing if you skip the Blue Boomerang, in the Center Town whilst in the Dark World you can get the Red Boomerang from a chest. I had an unofficial Player's Guide back in the 90s & it had both of them in it. If I recall correctly it wasn't normal magazine sized player's guides from Prima as it was like 60% reduced size which for a 8-11 year old kid was perfectly sized. As an adult I've tried looking through like IBSN search results for the guide I'm thinking of however I've been unable to locate anything that sounded familiar. I got it at like one of the major Mall Stores for electronics in the US at the time.

Okee the zelda secret room im was playing zelda when it got released on th e snes. Yes im a old sgool gamer. I find the room in my first play through i always tought until couple of years ago that it was a room you ho in if you need rupees. Because you can find it when you want. I teell you. I front of the main castle dont go through the main gate instead go to the right follow a path then run up follow the path you run trough a bush and fell in a pit and there it is. I always wonder why in all this years people go through so much trouble to go to this room its just there. Greetings from a old sgool gamer ps its not only in the us version im from the netherlands so i have the pal version

I guess I should at least mention that I, also saw the Chris Calahoun room while playing the SNES version. As near as I can remember, I was in the desert area looking for heart pieces, as I was almost finished the game. I don't remember if it was a bombed opening or something else, but I actually believed that it was a part of the game and still have found all but one freaking piece of the heart and now I can't help but wonder if this bug room replaced where I was supposed to get it. Like, I was literally marking off on my physical included Hyrule map every spot I got a heart piece. I was that kid that mapped out the original game on old school workbooks and every dungeon.

18: 15 this crash bandicoot hidden dev room thing is 100% related to how they built the game for the windows store, and by built I mean compiled. When targeting different frameworks, operating systems, etc, you'll have a different file types and all sorts of other shit to deal with. This screams that some flag was off in the build pipeline, a flag that determines to not include debug levels/assets in the application bundle, and this flag triggered for all other versions but just not the Windows store. This type of shit happens all the time, especially did niche one-off stores and use cases.

Without going to dig out my Nintendo Power collection and figure out which one it was in, I can say with certainty we (who had the magazine) knew about the contest and I'm pretty sure they even told us about the room at some point, though I could be wrong. Like many others who likely did the same, I got there once entirely by accident at some point after I had read about it (a couple years after IIRC. I mean pre-internet (from a modern perspective anyway) those magazines were literally how we found out about that kind of thing in the first place.

Elden ring ps4. After the dragon up north at the frozen place after fire giant, i found a cave. Inside the cave down stairs, i was blocked from moving further and attacked. It was an invisible enemy. I cant remember the item, but i never saw another in the whole game. I had the day one metal book launch edition. Never used it online. Also the jelly shield doesnt exist in my game and the sword of night and flame didnt appear in the castle for ages. The chest respawned a few times. Also loads of ashes dont exist. Weird

Seems like every Gamepass release is at least a version behind others. I decided to play the Yakuza series and wanted to 100% missions and side missions (I knew better than to attempt ALL of it. I think it was Yakuza 0 in Sotenbori, the game would crash every time you tried to fish. That was required to finish a side quest and had been patched out of the original release for ages when I ran into it on the Gamepass version. Ruined my run on the first game.

the gears 3 shooting range wasnt completely undiscovered for that long. me and my friends found it within the first week maybe week and a half. im 100% the kind of player that finds those targets. and when a random order is needed im math savvy enough to run them permutations. i LIVE for that stuff. i just had no presence online eyt and truly didnt know people didnt find it.

I remember running into the Chris Houlihan room a few times not to long after the game came out, I started using it as a name to put in at restaurants out of hopes I would meet someone with that name. Since I couldnt find it in the same place and would find the room in other locations I had assumed that it moved around and was not a glitch similar to Pokemon No #.

It's so weird to see the FFIV developers room on this list. I remember visiting it all the time on the original SNES version back in the early/mid 1990's. I wonder if the difference was that I grew up in Canada and it was available here and not in the States. I have played the pixel remakes and its omission is weird.

(Number 6) Hey, there is a game that I actually found in one secret room. Of course, it's only a year before anyone found it, but I was only 5 years old or younger when I'd discovered this. I didn't know how to read, yet I always search something cool or interesting in that game

I really hate static cut scenes, especially when it’s the same faces because in more dramatic moments (as dramatic as these voice actors can get) the character appearances don’t match that intensity. I was genuinely hoping if anything that it would be changed before release

My favorite Easter egg was in the og counter strike 1. 3 office level. You could shoot through the wall in the break room. Behind the hole you could see a secret break room with a picture of the level designer and his family. It was wholesome and a pretty cool tribute.

On the Zelda you can actually go to the secret room normally, you just need to go to the Castle throne room and run to the bushes to the right of the Castle entrance, you'll need to clear the bushes and also be quick, otherwise the secret room hole doesn't appear.

I dont know how long it took, definitely not ten years, but I remember learning about and finding one of those museums in Ratchet and Clank 2: Going Commando. The one where you have to find a hidden teleporter on planet Boldan.

Chris Houlihan Room is the GOAT baby
Edit: wait, you can get in there normally, without glitches. You just gotta run a specific course to get in. I did it and I'm no speedrunner by any means. I'd recommend looking it up!

I remember consistently getting to the Chris Houlihan room on the GBA version by starting at the Cathedral and running as fast as I could to the hole you drop down at the start of the game where you get the sword and shield.

The Zelda room with the rupees. You can get to that room in game without a glitch. I know I've been in that room. When I get off work I'll go home and hook it all up and replay it but I distinctly remember me in that room

This definitely wasn't removed from all the US ports for the final fantasy 4 developer room, because I a million percent have been there before and I had the original cartridge version when I did it. Back on SNS
