When looking forward to the inevitable Elder Scrolls 6, there are a few skills and related things we'd love to see return MN: About the comparisons you make with the souls games (why such comparison, those games are hot trash compared to the elder scrolls), what you cite (being slower/heavier) is already the case in Elder Scroll 5 (and as far as Elder Scroll 3 and remember before that).-
Likewise, armorer is useless and there are already blacksmithing and enchanting; repairing equipment is boring af as a mecanism, and the sole time it is interresting is when it involves improving equipment, which is already the case in elder scroll 5 both at the forge and on the enchanting table.-
And overall, this looks more like -let's go back to Morrowind-. Annndddd no thanks. -
Morrowind is my favorite for its environment, its strangeness and mysticism, but certainly not for its mecanisms. With ONE exception, spell making. And this leads me to what should be the object of the video:-
Looking to what the MODDING COMMUNITY has done for Elder Scrolls 5, and what should be implemented in elder scroll 6. -
For magic for example, I am currently playing Skyrim VR with the following mods:-
- Better spell learning: learning a spell from a book is not instantanous. You could imagine a similar principle, where the stronger the spell, the more manuscripts the player must find/buy.-
- Mage VR: To use a spell you have to draw magical glyhs in the air, sure that is for VR, but actually the principle existed on flat screen with an -old- RPG contemporary to Morrowind, called Arx Fatalis-
- Spell research: To create a new spell, you need to first create -thesis- on different bases, then combine them into a spell. For example, with a thesis about -soul-, one about -siphoning-, one about -aiming- and one about -conjuration-, you can create the Soul Trap spell. With this system the player gets involved -learning magic-, and you are never sure what spell you will get, which is interresting too as it adds a bit of suprise. You could continue on this principle and imagine the game would add some negative effects in the spell if your skills were not quite sufficient for the spell difficulty. I don't see any issue in spell crafting asking for player involvement, that is after all what we do with weapons and armors, and people are hppy with that. -
- Apocalypse, adds new spells, quite a few of them being quite original in their concept

More suggestions:-
(1) ADVANCE CHARACTER CREATION - At start of game, a more advance character creation like DD or MGS5 game, will be nice.-
(2) GAME GRAPHICS COLOR TO BE MORE VIBRANT - Skyrim cities are too black and white (or pale in color). Look to Skyrim's mods, the modding community has done a fantastic job of creating a more colorful Skyrim world. -
(3) NPC FACES TO BE REALISTIC AND NICE LOOKING - Look to Skyrim's mods, the modding community has done a fantastic job of creating beautiful looking NPC faces. -
(4) TO HAVE CLIMBING ABILITY - Game look outdated when there is no climbing ability. Climbing like what DD or GTA5 game can do, rather than Skyrim character jumping around to get to higher ground-
(5) BETTER IN-GAME BATTLE MUSIC - Look to Dragon Dogma Dark Arisen game, it has fantastic music during a battle. Now Bethesda is owned by Microsoft, then you can get more $$$ from MS to hire the best composer. Then again, money can't fix everything as you need good connection too, to know who is the best to hire.-
(6) LEARN FROM DRAGON DOGMA DARK ARISEN GAME. -
Capcom shown that DD game has several things better than Skyrim.-
(a). Skyrim's weak sword battle don't have any wow factor - The swinging of sword just pass thru the enemy's body like they are invisible. If -
you look at DD game, when sword hit an enemy, that enemy will vibrate a bit to show the effect of enemy being slashed. -
(b). Not enough explosive action during battle - Capcom's directors once said DD game beats Skyrim hands down, as their game have more explosive action going around eg. the special effect of magic spells and the chaos during the intense battle. etc. -
(c). Don't have mini-boss battle - Like DD game they have Elder Orge and Living Armor for some intense battle challenge.-
(d). Don't have huge monster battle - Like DD game they have huge monsters and gamer can climb ONTO monster to slash their weak point eg. a one eye creature or hit the monster's armor that is protecting the monster.-
(e). Not enough flying creature to battle.

Suggestion continued ...-
(17) THERE IS SOMETHING TO LEARN FROM Vanguish GAME - This game is a rare shooter gem. Most people may have thought there is all you can put into a shooter game to make it great but Shinji Mikami rise the bar a notch higher. There are hidden tactics in this game and using these tactics together with the AR mode, it brings out the skill of a gamer when you can do that, example ... -
(a) If you get too close to a bogey then he will try to melee you. If you can dodge his melee attack and shoot him with a shotgun (using this together with AR mode) then you could reduce a lot of bogey's health this way. -
(b) Another tactic is during a AR mode, you slide into a group of robots then drop a grenade - this action will immediately drop a grenade without the animation of tossing a grenade which is slower.-
(c) The instant ammo reload when you swap to another gun when previous gun ammo is almost out.-
These are tactical intended design which show Shinji Mikami is not your everyday game director. He does really know how to design game.-
Any way we can translate the AR mode of Vanguish game to Skyrim. I am not saying skyrim gamer can slide along ground for an AR mode but it is a equavalent type of design such as slo-mo Dive-forward to rapid-shoot few bows during that dive. -
(18) WHY NOT WORK WITH Shinji Mikami ON THE NEXT GAME - Mikami-san is like Messi, if Mircosoft want to score goals then you have sign up the best player in the industry ie. Messi. One thing is certain - that geniuses has its limits. The magic will start to wane off when they reach an age. So don't wait until Mikami's magic is gone.-
(19) CONQUER THE SEA TOO - Other games have moved the battle to the sea too. Example several of recent UBISOFT games have ships that travel around the map. They battle abroad the enemy ship when they are too close by.

Made me sad to see how Skyrim fared, sure any Elder Scrolls game can be made better with mods, but Skyrim requires mods to be a fun experience imo. The game not only simplified many of the skills but just overall felt incredibly hollow/shallow and just lacked polish. Tons of locations are basically copy pastes of others and it does nothing to hide it from the player. It felt kindof insulting for every single dungeon area ending with a large chest. It was uncreative and comes off as condescending to the player as if they can't tell that they've reached the end without a huge symbol. Pretty much the only thing this game done that was slightly innovative was the shouts which are just more or less innate powers that every player gets. I hope that Bethesda takes the game seriously and doesn't force modders to do all the heavy lifting like they did with Skyrim.

They should bring back all the different types of spells like Mysticism. Should be able to create your own spells and Levitate. I love Skyrim but my God why can't I wear two rings? You have two freaking hands. Why isn't short swords? Spears? Throwing stars? Or knifes in there like Morrowind. Skyrim has no greaves, also in Morrowind you can wear clothes enchanted with Armor. Why is there boots and gauntlets both left and right together now. It's like there taking away the option to be able to wear multiple enchantments to make you strong. Helmet, armor, left and right gauntlets or braces, left and right boots, with an Amulet, and TWO rings. Ughhh.

it will be awesome if next Elder scroll game plays like ACBF (Assassin Creed Black flag) game where gamer can travel the sea using ship. And can jump onto enemy's ship for sword battle. This will be the first of it's kind where sorcerer or mage battle with melee warrior on ships. -
The maps or island should cover around by sea so ships can travel from island to island or province to province. Gamer can also choose which ship to buy/steal/plunder then upgrade them with cannon - just like ACBF but the difference is sorcerer or mage battle with melee warrior on ships.

Security (lockpick, speech, merch etc.)

I Know its Personal opinion of yours, but in all honesty you conpare TES too hard to othe RPG's. By any means, I DONT WANT TES TO IMPOSE OTHER RPG'S that are Out there. Certain skills you Bring in, you say -they were cool- and a few Moments after -but super annoying- so Why even Bring Them Back in? Besides, this is again, your Opinion, Not all of TES fandom :/

Spears HAVE to come back. If I go one more elder scrolls title without the Spear of Bitter Mercy I-m gonna slap the SHIT out of Todd Howard.
Actually there are a BUNCH of really cool artifacts from Morrowind that need to make a comeback, even the useless or actively harmful ones.
Fork of Horripulation runs need to come back.

Classes:
Should have an impact on NPCs and questlines no? Doing so can reserve the high end mage quests/spells for the -mage class- and the high end weapons/warrior quests for melee gods.
One thing i think Oblivion got right was that.. if you went mages guild you were shunned from the warriors guild.. etc.
