can y-all imagine how much better the villain sympathy angle would have played out if this game was marketed as a new story set in the same universe starting off with abby and going through all these missions, then reintroducing ellie and joel part of the way through. it obviously still would have been ill recieved by fans because of the strongly established connection but at least it only would have been for an initial period that leaves so much more room for understanding and comprehension of these people's motivations and the complex moral dilemmas at play. even though this story is so poorly executed i genuinely believe it would be so much more tolerable if the plot points were given a heavy restructuring.

Ok guys many of you think abby is the terrible person. for my personal opinion. all of this is like a war and every clan is conflict by each other. everyone is terrible and that included joel and ellie. i know ellie just want to get a revenge. but do you remember the scene where abby friends stopping each other to kill ellie cause joel is the main Target. but ellie you can see the rage and wanted to kill abby to matter what its take. and also, do you remember where ellie kill abby friends who stuck in the place with full of spore and doesn't even wear a mask. i think its more worst that joel on my options. like.

whatever else you say about the game, the pacing is horrible.
basically after reaching about 2/3 of the way through you restart with a new character, having to go through the same skill trees and weapons upgrades and having to repeat basically the same story beats.
Yeah, we get it, Ellie's and Abby's stories are parallel (though some of the comparisons are questionable) but having to do the same story beats all over again is just annoying when it's this drawn out.

I think the lesson to take here is learn to move on and build a new life. The dude definitely wanted to start anew but this Abby girl wanted revenge I mean yeah who doesn-t want that but if I were her, I would be even lazy just to think about getting across a country to get revenge. but abby are sure a persuasive leader to take a crew just to get revenge.

Enough with the flashbacks. I really detest that crutch that has infected so many TV shows and now our games. This game has nothing on Last of Us, and it's brutal that we have to play Abby--I almost feel like skipping all of this, I have zero sympathy for her and her friends, and her dad, at all.

This family substory was really intense. The abandoned postapocaliptic environment is depressing, seeing kid stuff left across everywhere, like everything would be normal. I think the storyline is an emotional rollercoaster, and this aquarium was one of the most intense scenes.

The underwater dome is a real place. It doesn't look exactly like it does in the video game, but yeah, its the best part of the Seattle Aquarium. I loved that place when I was young. what am I saying, I still love it.
