THE LAST OF US 2 Gameplay Walkthrough Part 19 [4K PS4 PRO] (FULL GAME)
video description
Its a great story and how its being executed.
People who saying Abby is just being a filler lengthening the game dont understand the plot. They just wanna play their precious Ellie and Joel running around collecting bees and looking at rainbows.
Game is not about that, its just like the first one, you play a fixed story, like a movie, you dont make the choices.
The game want us to understand both parties. Abby was neither right or wrong for killing Joel, just like Joel was neither for killing her father. They just had their own reasons for it, same as Ellie. Theres no good or evil, just reasons.
You can justify actions, but thats just your opinion, nothing else, its impossible to say he or she deserved it more.
Great game.
Funny how people say its such a shitty game and complain about almost everything, yet you see them return in the next video. I dont know about you but i dont continue watch something i dont like.

Wow at this point I am starting to see the flaw in this approach of storytelling. Dude. if you had plans to give so much of this game to the apparent antagonist, you should definitely NOT have started with her shown in such a horrible light. I'm not fond of Joel, but even I know if you show a new character betray a main character, torture them, and then kill them brutally without ANY context until much MUCH later in the story. it's hard to bounce back from that. This is almost a third of the game used on Abby which at this point feels like a forced theme of -two-sides. - I'm okay with her, I sympathize though someone should have told her about revenge being served cold, but this definitely should have been peppered in a lot sooner than now, and WAY before they decided to kill Joel.
I'm just shocked, this is such a huge chunk they are literally PAUSING the main story for. I actually LIKE her story and still really want to fast forward.

I buy into the whole 'whose side is the right side' question. It's been done before, and far better in Spec Ops: The Line, but it's a logical enough progression from the first one. It's not where I would have taken it, but I understand how a communication divide in an apocalyptic world would cause such disaster.
But that doesn't change the fact that Abby is a dull character. I feel sorry for her and what she went through, and I'm mad at Joel and kiddo for the way they handled things. But the character of Abby is dull. She feels like an side plot that somehow managed to become one of the main pro/antagonists.
And as far as emotions go, I'm more mad at Joel and Ellie for what they did than I am sad for Abby and what she went through. So even when Joel and Ellie do bad things, I feel more about them than Abby who went through something emotionally destroying.

If I'm being entirely honest, I don't fully dislike Abby, but I still love Ellie and that's why I think I'm struggling to become attached. I also think the WLF is sort of a tyrannical militia group that is so different than Jackson where the people are welcoming and they aim to just live a simple and pleasant life. When I look at Jackson in comparison to the WLF, I feel less sympathy for their members. I also feel in a way that Ellie also just has more sympathy for people, I understand that she has killed people, but usually only when provoked, but with Abby even though killing Joel was provoked I feel like she just became a ruthless person who also has no sympathy for others and I can't seem to see her any other way, but I'm not finished the game yet and my opinion could be changed, but I still love Ellie and Joel. -

Okay, so far I am loving the game. But there is some things about the game that are very very minor annoyances. Namely the modifications done to weapons as upgrades. I'm looking squarely at abby putting vent holes in the barrels of the double barrel shotgun. All that does is vent gases and ends up giving you less muzzle velocity, which in turn if done correctly would decrease flet recoil but also DECREASES THE -STOPPING POWER- OF THE SHOT, NOT INCREASE IT. Okay okay, sorry I know it's a video game, and a damn good one at that but. I'm a hobby Gunsmith and seeing stuff like this in games bugs me a bit.
Edit: word choice.

I really tried to care about Abby's character and her friends, but so far I've simply tuned out of this whole flashback. I can't get into it and idk what's going on. All I keep thinking is about what's going to happen to Ellie and Tommy once they get back to the present. Honestly the placement of this whole backstory is so bad. Dude, why do it right at such a tense moment of Ellie and Abby finally coming face to face? Shouldn't they have done it before? Underwhelming.

Abby is not a bad person just drawn into revenge for her father
can't condone what she does but you can still feel sympathy for
her and reason she has built her body up the way it is is to able
to defend herself against her enemies but then again she probably
had a weight problem and built herself up for that reason.

I don't get why people think that for the game to be good they have to like Abby. After everything they went through in the first game, you are not supposed to like her. The genius of the story is in trying to show that no one is morally -good- or -bad- but that everything in the apocalypse is a story of hatred and tragedy.

Bruh this is like Avengers: Endgame, I mean it's like the storyline. Joel dying for Ellie. Tony Stark died (sacrificed himself to save the universe) for the universe. Ellie trying to honor Joel's memory, Spiderman (Peter Parker) is trying to honor Iron Man's memory. Reply to me and tell me what y'all think-- or---

first of all, I love Abby. I think her parallel story line to Ellie is beautifully done, and everything we learn about her character makes me love her more. Second, love hearing Laura Bailey shit talk cults in this when she's in the middle of setting up TravelerCon on Critical Role!

i kind a feel nothing cause Abby's dad was killed by Joel, The reason why you guys hate Abby so much cause the game all started as -Joel- so you guys are stuck on Joel's side
Imagine the game all started as Abby you guys would hate Joel cause he killed Abby's Dad

I hate how the characters in these games walk into a place and complain about the smell. Like they havnt already smelt every horrid smell there is to smell in this world and worse before. Walking into a gross smelling shop would be nothing.

I really appreciate the work -MKIceAndFire does, but it is so dull when he goes looting for the 100th time, instead of going straight after the storyline. I'm just excited for the story and wouldn't care about those 4 Items u can collect

I get that they wanted to show us the other side of the main story, Abby, her father and friends, but a 30-40 min. sequence would be well enough. Makes me uncomfortable playing as Abby for half of the game

So ummm i got a thought, what if going around picking up loot items when you play as Abby, is a way that the game makes things toughy for you when you go back to playing as Ellie, coz you're making Abby stronger

Of course there's an ambiguity created when playing Ellie's part: the Scar martyr woman looks like Abby and for a time you don't know who really is the woman who killed Joel.

It actually talked 15 minutes to strangle a person to d3ath. Therefore Ellie-s way of k-lling infected and enemies is way more effective but it-s a video game so who gives sh-t

I am just putting this out there, but I don't think we are supposed to know which side is better. Each had their own revenge be story, so neither were the hero.

This is so well done. I like walking around in someone else's shoes, makes me see things differently. Abby is one of the more interesting characters to me.

And the lesson here kids: When you have all of those weapons, and so much ammo that you can't pick up anymore, you might want to actually USE them!

So basically the game ends when Abby shoots Jesse, everything playing as Abby is a joke, and waste, just hours of filler to make the game feel longer.
