At moments i've felt this scene on a visceral level, especially the moment when she took the guitar and awkwardly putted on her, that was EXACTLY how i looked and moved when i was starting to play (and i was almost the same age. I had completely forgotten this. And i think that the mistake he made when started playing made the scene even better, made it more realistic, he's not the best ever, he was a bit nervous and in real life mistakes happen even with best of us.

I mean, that's a movie right there. Forget everything else. This is a movie, even without The Last of Us. Joel tells Tommy the truth to kick-start the plot, he's killed by Abby, spends time with Ellie through flashback so the audience gets a sense of their relationship, she discovers the truth and they have a falling out, she begins the reconcilatiom process, then cutback to the present after his death. The end. I mean, I suppose you could throw in some of Abby's flashbacks just to establish that her father was the surgeon Joel killed, to connect the dots as to why she killed him. But aside from that being absent, this truly is a good enough plot for a movie.

He's probably has been foreshadowing other stuff too, this mystery and surprise is sooo much better than saying -hey, sweetie, we're gonna swim, then we're going to a dinassour park and then we're gonna watch a movie. You're gonna love it! Cause i know how much you love those things-. A mystery makes it even better.

Can you all imagine if the beginning of the game where Abby and her friends kills Joel, they also decided to actually kill Ellie and Tommy too in order to wrap up loose ends, then the game forces you to play as Abby for the flashbacks, later they make you play as Dina and Jesse to get revenge against Abby for Joel, Ellie, and Tommy? People literally expected him to die when the first announcement trailer came out. They brought it onto the game. Blame those players. I would bet he originally would-ve lived, but it almost feels like with the amount of people in the past who expected him to die literally got what they kept assuming and now since he did EVERYONE is upset!

Joel and Ellie were the only chracters I was emotionally invested in. The fact hat they offed Joel WAY too early in the game and how Ellie, as a character, is written poorly makes me want to pretend the sequel doesn't exist. The ending was, at best, unsatisfactory. I rewatched TLOU 1 and I have to agree, TLOU 2 butchered it. -

It sucks that so many people want to hang on to their hate and miss the entire point of the second game. It's ironic, actually, the reception that it got. like TLOU2 has proven its entire premise by the reaction of the fanbase. Ironic and sad.

Ellie couldn't realised what Joel did for him. Ellie should've give him another chance. That scene broke me when Ellie said that she's done with Joel. Joel deserved a daughter. But Ellie couldn't be good daughter to Joel. This really sucks. :(

I'm still in denial about what they did with this story and these characters. anyway thank you for this video, at least we can see only the best parts of it (excluding THAT scene) and trying to forget about everything else.

The last talk with Ellie and Joel has some truth in it. You just never know when the people you love is gonna die and how. He literally dies the next day and she couldn-t forgive him in the way she would had wanted to.
