If there is any real complaint, its that the lack of variety in weapon usage outside set pieces means that outside the stuff the devs created to be exciting, the full thing is kinda boring.
One firefight is the same as another when all the enemies and guns used are the same thing. So many 'lancer only' firefights, on EASY MODO no less, that skipped portions of the video.

I remember playing Gears 1 at my friends place on his brand new Xbox 360. My parents promised me one if instudied hard and got really good grades. I remember my parents waking up on my birthday (after my results were out) and placing the controler in my hand. Miss those days

Loved playing this game in 8th grade. My friends and I used to spend hours playing horde mode. We couldn't beat wave 50 until they added the ability to replay the round you died at. Good memories.

The rainy dark missions with the wretches in one and two. Iconic. I miss it so much, but you rushed through so many cinematic scenes of this game. Take your time and it's so much more enjoyable

I remember Christmas 2008 my mum got my an xbox 360 bundle with this and the first game, i-m 23 now and Gears 2 is still in my top 5 games of all time, what a fantastic experience it was
