I may well be wrong here but my math puts the crop at 1. 935x once the 1. 29x is applied to an assumed 1. 5x APS-C crop.
(I think it's closer to 1. 52 but meh)
50mm
1. 5 (APSC) = 75mm
75mm x1. 29 crop = 96. 75
96. 75 / 50mm = 1. 935 crop?
& if we're ignoring APSC crop until after, then applying APSC crop after (same result of course)
50mm
50mm x 1. 29 crop = 64. 5
(Applying crop:
64. 5 x 1. 5 = 96. 75)
Ratio is still +1. 935x
Different focal length example:
23mm
1. 5 = 34. 5mm
34. 5 x 1. 29 crop = 44. 505
44. 505 / 23mm = 1. 935 crop
Am I missing something?

Great tests and lovely footage, especially using those Cine lenses. Since your video the XS-10 is available and that is an interesting option for me as a enthusiast wildlife photographer/videographer. It has the same 26MP sensor and all the film simulations etc. Obviously it does not have 10 bit 4K internally (but you can record it externally) and it has IBIS (smaller unit though) but it's not weather-sealed. How do you rate the X-Mount lenses (excluding the cine lenses) for video? From my own research it seems they are really more geared towards photography. Your thoughts are appreciated.

Man I was really looking forward to this but you told us everything that was already known. Not sure if you checked the comments of the post you asked about what we wanted to know about the XT4. That being said I appreciate that you took out time to make this video. I know it takes a lot of time and effort to make it. Thank you!

Although I'd really love to learn about this camera, I just can't watch this dystopian nightmare that is presenters talking outside in masks. I appreciate you made this video in 2020 but still. when you look back at it, it's the most un-scientific ridiculous idea that Fauci and his band of criminals ever conceived.

Is it just me or is there something off with this upload? Video length says 13: 57, but only plays until 11: 25 for me, then cuts off. The audio is also off starting after the first 2 minutes. Seems like there's a fault with the uploading! Seems like a potentially useful video, please re-upload Dave!

Found myself sticking with the X-T3 and no IBIS because it's consistent. I know what I'm getting when I add some post-stabilization but when I used the IBIS on the X-T4, I couldn't control the wobbles. Just can't take the chance. I'd rather have a slight handheld look over wobbles.

The tactile feel of all the dials is so nice. Instead of going into menus using the touchscreen, you can change settings on the fly. Also it looks kind of neat compared to the competitors. So it got the looks, feel and functionality. I've only used the xt2 though: .

I got inspired watching this video. I had a demo of xt4 but found some overheating signs. Could you please tell us if u have observed or experienced overheating? I am mainly going to shoot videos so want to know if this camera will be usable.

are you recording this video with sony or panasonic cameras?
Since im having hard time grading my fuji to having such colors that vlog or slog could provide.
whats your opinion in term of color grading between gh5 vs xt4?

scrambled eggs vibe thats the best way I've heard it described. When I watch some of these tests on a 40 inch screen I see scrambled eggs especially when it's video of running water or panning over leaves. What causes that?

The lens far outclasses the camera, and is therefore a bad idea IMO. I used to own the combo and shot two shorts with it. You cannot adapt it to any other system. The camera as is, is fantastic however.

Great fun entertaining video also thanks to Valentina, who actually is great at acting, great job. btw. I got xt4 and enjoy using it, hope to have opportunity to one day use those MKX lenses.

APSC or micro 4/3 gives you more features compared to fullframe cameras because more processing power can go to additional features instead of more pixel readout.

Hello bro. What is the difference between fuji 18-55mm kit lens(comes with camera) and 18-55mm lens the one we buy separately with box? Is there any difference?
reply

Brillaint video, nice touch throwing Valentina into the mix too. You two bounce off each other really naturally. Also, XT-3 is definitely a solid option still.

A tip for the best experience for the viewers, wherever you do an ISO test, start by showing how did it look like with your bare eyes, for comparison!

That 18-55 is a $4000 lens, though. Is there a more affordable way to use the X-T4 for video and still have zoom? Can you put a zoom knob on a 16-80?
reply

finally someone else using the squeeze your mirrorless camera against the eye strat for video. i really thought nobody else is doing it, it's great!

Waiting for Fuji's AF to improve in video mode. Love what they've been doing on the stills side, but I can't trust it in video yet. X-H2 maybe?
