What makes a very talented director is someone who has a lot of acting experience. I always always thought Gibson was a great actor, plays father figures very well every time he's cast. Really shows the vulnerability, struggle, and emotion it can take to be a father. Then when he transitioned form acting to directing you can see his acting in his cast so well. I know he's had his ups and downs, but man I am so in love with this guy. Beyond talented and isn't trying to suck in the lime light, just trying to keep telling great stories while giving others the light.

Mel looked like he was nervous but you wouldn't know it if you just listened to the audio. He sounded confident and his answers where on point. Its the interviewers job to notice if the guest is uncomfortable. I think Mel just didn't trusted Jimmy and the crowd because of the past jokes he told about him. He may be also was trying to send a signal for Jimmy to make sure he won't low ball him.

80s humor and stud legend and director like none other. 9 kids WTH? Ill say my one time seeing him in person and for hours was a house party my bestie was DJing in the Hollywood hills about 7 years ago and he was quite loud and hitting on a young model type and def needed to be the center of attention.

Despite his issues and his chequered history, you can't deny Gibson is a brilliant director. Braveheart, Apolcalytpo, The Passion of the Christ and Hacksaw Ridge are magnificent pieces of film making.
