if i recall correctly, 10 years ago here in my country, some midnight tv show introduced her as she could propose a new method of cleaning up things in the room. later other tv programs began to introduce her. she appeared to have a co-worker working in a japanese big book publisher. he promoted her to write know-how book first and then managed to translate her book into multi languages. im so surprised that she has become so big.

It's been comedy up until the part when Jimmy Kimmel decided to not let the interpreter translate anything to accommodate Marie in the conversation by rambling a whole paragraph of nonsense. Marie was just being typically Japanese polite by nodding all the way, but that doesn't mean the host can take his grand ass privilege to disrespect.
Jimmy Kimmel in the end is the monster he dreamed of.

stephen colbert is very nice to her compare to this show. As an asian, i don't understand why americans like jimmy cannot be more respectful to other culture. It's very important to show our gratitude to our belongings so we can be more organised in life & daily routine. I know it's sarcastic joking but it should have limit at some point.

Marie Kondo, seriously how can someone disrespect this angel, it's been 10 minutes since I started watching her videos, looking at her charisma, her calm personality just brings a smile on my face, and after seeing her methods getting ridiculed like this, aaaah, I just got teary eyed.

Some American thought this is funny but its just a cheap joke, no respect. This method is not working because of your disrespect and you not even clean by yourself Jimmy. I wondered if he cleaned his own butt.

What did he do wrong? He was trying to be funny. He's a comedian, that's his job, but thats probably also his real personality. If he sounded a little condescending, I'm sure he didn't mean it.

So the waking up of the books actually makes sense to me. When you have a ton of crap it doesn't feel like a moveable thing but this mountain of stuff can feel oppressive.
