I'm seeing some comments like we can't see her or she doesn't move and it's clear that people still don't understand that Sia is not a conventional pop artist. She doesn't need to be seen or even choreographed. All she needs is for her voice to be heard and that's what she delivered in this performance. Voice. And if that doesn't satisfy you, then she's not the right artist for you.

Her early more art rock stuff is awesome, though with that voice I understand why she went in a different direction. She would have killed prog rock if she’d been around and had a band of weirdos to jam with. Peter Gabriel is better than the top 20 hit stuff she kills vocally but is otherwise boring.

I was a little disappointed with her fashion (the big baggy dresses, but this outfit is awesome, and she looks fabulous! I hope she sticks with this style, as it sooo suits her. Peter Gabriel is one of my all time fav artists, I think he will be pleased with Sia's version. Glad the Queen is back!

Aside this being a phenomenal rendition, I am absolutely in love with how she arches her shoulders and slightly tilts her head forward while hitting those high notes at 3: 08 - she's such a professional, love everything about this performance!

I saw Sia in Philly with Zero 7 more than a dozen years ago, before she choose to present the persona she presents now. It was quite different, but I honor her choice. Her music and influence speak for them selves.

Shocking to see the name Sia use. My daughter’s name is Sia with a capital S. The Kono tribe in Sierra Leone always gives the name Sia to the first baby girl born of a woman. Very unique song

Lol I never watch the music segment but this one got my eye love the wig thing dang idk the relation to the song or her inspiration but her voice is amazing without that context even. Classic!

Thank you Sia for fighting against animal cruelty and supporting a great org Humane World for Animals (formerly the Humane Society of the US & Humane Society International.

omg, she doesn't even have a feel for this classic by Peter Gabriel. I cannot believe Peter allows covers like this or is the song now out of copyright or whatever.
reply

Pretty sure Peter’s thrilled to see his music becoming relevant to a new, younger audience. And he would totally approve of her ridiculously theatrical hairdo!

I've always found Sia to be an interesting artist and really enjoy the performances. This is a good cover of the song and I love the philanthropy tie in.

Man, this is really good. I'm not a fan of her phrasing, which to me would move it to great, but that's just me. She's super talented and has a great voice.

Pub karaoke night
Grim. I would hide my face too.
If you have nothing to add to a cover other than inferior vocals then leave well alone.

My husband and I saw her at a small venue in Dallas years ago before she became extremely popular. She is such a beautiful lady and her VOICE!

She is an excellent singer but this arrangement lacks any life or dynamics. It sounds like music for an investment bank commercial.

I can’t be the only one who thinks the backing track is way to loud. She has to scream to be heard. C’mon. And no live band
reply

She’s wonderful.
I do REALLY hope you’ll have a full listen to the original. It is beautiful and triumphant Peter Gabriel.

reply

Beautiful song, beautiful consciousness, the way we treat animals is the way we treat ourselves, its just pure sentiment,

Call me old fashioned if you will, but I like to see someone’s mouth when they sing so I can tell if they’re lip syncing
