If you watched Simple Minds on Live Aid you're about to feel piercing pain watching this vid. The lack of passion and energy is heartbreaking - and it has nothing to do with age. It looks and feels like they're there just to extract the very few drops of milk left in the cow. Nothing could seem more artificial than that.

I don't think Jim's yoga moves are convincing anyone. Better to drop 10kg before the tour. And get aerobically fit. Out of breath half way through one song does not bode well for holding a show for 90 minutes. Not trolling, just my opinion. I'm a fan too. Don't me.

I do not know: they were my heroes when I was in my 19's. I also had the pleasure to interview Jim Kerr when I was hosting a radio show here in Italy. Watching them now makes me feel a bit sad. Every age has it's golden moment and then will vanish away

Just goes to show how expensive life has become: all these retired/overaged, millionaire rock stars that need to keep on performing to make ends meet. Will always cherish the '80s as music's greatest decade. No need trying to revive them though.

Considering this isn't the full band and they played LIVE this is a great performance! Charlie Burchill is the star for me in this, his guitar takes it all the way, Good to see Cherise on the drums

Happy to see Simple Minds still playing this song. And just think. they didn't want to record it because someone else wrote it - or so the rumor goes. Biggest hit of my teen years.

I've always loved this song.
Unfortunately, some singers need to permanently retire when they can no longer perform their songs as originally released.

I that the real singer that’s in the music video with his moving hands oh yes he’s sounds different and he’s a senior now luv this band

This song is fine and all (even though it's about a minute shorter here, but go listen to their album: Street Fighting Years. Life changing.

Sad they had to perform a well known hit in the U. S. because of the Breakfast Club soundtrack, they have dozens of great songs!

Who the hells that on bass, where's Big Ged Grimes And sure that's not Erik Ljunggren on keys (or is it my eyes not too good)!
