I see many comments about BC's curls, and I agree. In that regard, however, thought I'd take the opportunity to point out, in relation to said curls, what this female believes to be a fundamental difference between men and women and what we think of as hot. Men, pretty overt: ridiculous cleavage, porn, etc. Women, more subtle. Memorable example: Episode of Sherlock where they reveal how (spoiler alert) Sherlock faked his death. Cut to Sherlock swinging on a rope through a huge glass window, tossling said curls to remove glass, then laying a monumental kiss on Molly! Absolutely knee buckling!

Truth
That was not a Brooklyn accent by any account. A true Brooklyn accent has pretty much gone extinct. I knew many original old timers like my grandfather who spoke with a true Brooklyn accent. Oil is pronounced Earl and er and irs are pronounced with an oi sound. You do not hear this accent anymore. New Yorkers are losing their particular form of speaking.

In the clip of him playing Thomas Edison, Benedict sounds to me like another famous actor who's older than him. It was really hard for me to place that voice, but I think it's Tom Hanks (but with a strong emphasis on the S's.

His dad, Timothy Dalton, also has a magnificent speaking voice. And, like his father, he looks younger than his age.

As a young American that is about to go with my aunt to England, I find it hilarious Benedict did the exact opposite
