My Morning Jacket performs the song Regularly Scheduled Programming on Jimmy Kimmel Live lekcin: Saw these guys open for Pearl Jam in Michigan years ago. They were supporting their album Z at the time. The only song I had any familiarity with at all was Off the Record. Really liked that song but that was all I knew. I was completely blown away by their entire set and was an immediate fan. They're arguably my favorite band. Top 3 for sure. They've also recorded a bit under the name Ruckus and Jim James was also part of a great musical collaboration called Monsters of Folk. I believe they've only put out the one record but it's a masterpiece.

I'm a casual fan, I usually catch the singles and think that Jim James has a great voice and the band is always solid. This one felt particularly bland though, it's got interesting moments for sure but it feels like an intro or segue song, maybe not the best choice for a single. Still good to see good bands being booked, such a void of music left late night when Letterman retired.
