Jimmy Kimmel Interviews Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, Austin Butler & Florence Pugh

Rating: 4.5; Vote: 2
Timothée, Zendaya, Austin and Florence talk about how to pronounce Timothée, how they all met for the first time, Zendaya taking Timothée shopping for house necessities, Austin wearing a baldcap, the viral souvenir sandworm popcorn buckets, working with Christopher Walken and his fascination with donuts, Austin asking him about SNL, and Timothée seeing Top Gun: Maverick SEVERAL times That was really awkward. Did they collectively only meet now for promo It's like they don't know each other and the group vibe flat. Do you guys socialize What do you guys do for fun [crickets] Those qs typically prompt inside jokes, anecdotes, something. Jimmy was desperately fishing for any kind of story. just nothing I guess.

Sadly the first segment of this DUNE was like watching oatmeal congeal. It was stunningly dull, lifeless, badly written, and badly acted. Not one cast member was superior to the cast in David Lynch's Dune. In fact, looked like Denis Villaneuve picked his cast from Nickelodeon alumni. Zero gravitas. All the subversive kink, repulsion and oddity of Lynch's version was sapped from this bland remake and replaced with layers of glossy CGI that was akin to replacing a Picasso with Midjourney AI art printed on a bubblejet. As a result I have little (really no hope) that the second part will be any better. But I'm sure it will still get lavished with critical praise because the reviewers are all sheep at this point (rest in peace, Pauline Kael, they never found your replacement.

What we see here is the next generation of big and gifted actors and actresses, each one of them have already given some of the best performances of their careers and I strongly believe that they will continue to do so for many years to come, i mean all of them already are academy award nominees except Zendaya who i honestly think she will get nominated definitely someday, that right here is the future!

Second time recently I've seen Zendaya styled in an outfit showing skin and she's spent the whole time covering herself up and pulling at the clothes (first was a Luis Vuitton show where she was talking with Alicia Vikander and Saoirse Ronan. Doesn't seem at all comfortable is what she's being dressed in, sadly.

There is DEFINITELY something going on between Austin and Florence. Their microexpressions speak volumes! Not to mention Tim-Tam and Zenny trying to contain their sussy smiles at 4: 27. It's like c'mon guys! Try a LITTLE bit harder to keep your friends' relationship under wraps! hahaha

0: 20 I hate when movies depict headbutts as a legit move. Velocity is relative therefore it's perfectly valid to say the protagonist Paul Atreides (who is supposed to be immensely skilful) was stationary & got headbutted by the bald guy. Just do a fuciking proper move.

I love austin. I really liked that he was the first one to go and say hello to Guillermo and then everyone else went and say hello to him. This speaks alot about his friendly and respectful personality, and the four are truly wonderful.

All of these guys are pretty talented actors but just have this boring personality idk why. if you go back a decade the guests invited on late night shows had so much more character, charisma and charm while these guys are just bleh.

Dune 1984 followed the book. not sure why we need these youngsters trying to tell the story again. no one remade the Godfather or A Few Good men. Adding a bunch of CGI and effects does not make it new

Timothee’s summation of Top Gun is spot on. That’s why I love it too. It just shamelessly leans into what it is and does it with such love and dedication that you completely go along for the ride.

Zendaya looks so uncomfortable in that outfit. I hope women will just wear clothes that make them feel comfortable and relaxed so we can be relaxed watching them.

This interview was so clunky and awkward. They were all acting super strange and kinda fake laughing at anything. I guess they weren't paid that well to promote

this conversation is memeable, just like any of zandayas interviews, theres always a part where she is playing safe explaining for the good of her castmates lol

Is it just me or is Zendaya acting a bit childish The way she carries herself too is child-like. If I didn't know, I would've guessed she was 22 years old.

Im so impressed by this man's ability to get four of the most famous people in Hollywood together on his show and not have a single good question ready

Timmy's getting hotter, Jimmy's getting older. So many forced grandma jokes drawing out so many forced reactions from very charming people. Too bad.

Looks like Z doesn’t handle interviews very well and she looks uncomfortable. That suit she’s wearing the bottom of the jacket won’t stay closed

Great to see the newest group of young actors, who are clearly the next generation of the BEST actors! Keep it going guys! Skrrrtttt
reply

Given he worked in his parents' bakery in his youth, it's almost certain Christopher Walken made donuts professionally at one point.
