Los Angels 1991, on my first ever holiday to the US, I was listening to Lionel’s first solo album in my car heading to a restaurant called La Moustache. Upon arrival and handing over my UK registered car to the valet guys, the legend himself was just coming out of the restaurant and Wow! I told him the coincidence about the music in my car and he was super nice to me even commented on my car. We had a short sweet chat. What a feeling! He really made my day and an experience I will cherish for ever. A genuine, humble and super talented guy. Can’t wait to get a copy of his book. Love & respect from the UK.

I've been a fan for longer than I can remember. I do recall my first Walkman. I hopped on my bike with the headphones and listenied to his first self-titled album. I was in heaven. That was like 1982 or 83. His music has been a soundtrack to my life. Can't Slow Down was the first album I ever owned (not borrowed from my parents. I have every album and still listened to them repeatedly. Love that guy.

Lionel was 100% correct: PARENTS AND GRANDPARENTS! My mother CONSTANTLY had The Commadores AND THEN Lionel playing in our house all the time! She absolutely adored Lionel Ritchie forever! Andddd. so do I - I have many cherished memories of dancing with my mom to his songs on girls nites out too!

Saw him in concert. Didn’t even go to see him. One of those concerts with multiple artists. I was kinda cool to see him I liked him, but not my purpose for being there. Holy sh! What an unbelievable singer. Incredible. I was blown away. One of the best ever.
