Nice to see you are OK,
Man I need the wife to watch this video as she thinks I have a lot of computers. She keeps telling me I need to get rid of my old computer stuff. Man, I have a small inventory compared to yours. I have or had 17 working PCs of which so far 3 are dead as I re-test them to put them up to sell.
I lost my old windows primary domain controller server running 2003. I used an old 486 Mo-Bo with over 96meg of ram and it was in a full size tower. The RTC died and it is not the basic on used on most Mo Bo's. I had another Mo-Bo but it did not have the same newer BIOS settings as both are AT type so I lost my drive data. Also, both of my DLT 40/80 gig tape drives need repair so I can't restore as the software (High End backup Software, allowed me to create backup CDs to restore from tape) and because the current Mo-Bo has issues with this option. I say you have a few of the Commodore Plus-4 computers, are they in working condition Would be selling any

About the CDRom drive stacks; Might be a cool idea to 3dprint some kind of dedicated spot where you can slot these in, make it kind of shrine-like You know, fire up Tinkercad and lay on that LGR sauce. Loving the loft setup. Carpet looks glorious. That is cozy! (Digging the flag too. Happy to see you open to the possibility of sending other collectors the non-pc stuff that suits their collection better. That's paying it forward mate! For the keyboards, maybe have a talk with Thomas (Chyrosran22, see how he solves that kind of storage without it being cluttered. Are you going to label your shelves Like, if you need something very specific, do you employ special librarian software that can tell you This super specific Vibra128 is in row 6, shelf 5, middle, or maybe one-up on that and slap RGB striplights on every shelf, and have a specific bit of shelving discoblink until you check out your item That would be so cool!

It’s so awesome to see the LGRchive coming together - you deserve only the best space after all the joy you’ve brought people and after the storm!
What is the PCB behind the glass in your retro room It looks really cool, I’ve always been interested in displaying cool PCBs.
Also, a small accessibility (maybe) note - I’m not sure what your camera setup for filming these POV videos is (is it your thrifts video glasses) but when you turn your head really fast it gives me the kind of dizziness that I get if I try to watch VR streams or First person games with a lot of headbob which causes nausea. I just thought I’d bring it up in case there was an easy fix for this as I know some other people have the same experience in those kinds of games But don’t stress too much!

You really ought to consider adding letters and numbers to different shelves, and keeping a digital inventory of what you have and where it lives in your warehouse. It's not as daunting a task as it sounds (it can literally be as simple as a text file that you periodically edit and add items to, and believe me, the time it will save you in the future will vastly outdo the time it takes you to implement it.
I live in an apartment in Japan (which is small by American standards, my collection is a small fraction of yours (I'm not even a collector so much as a packrat) and is mostly in storage boxes, and even that is really hard to keep track of with my aging memory. But I open up my text file, hit CtrlF, and type in what I want to find, and boom. There it is.

less shelves more PLASTIC TUBS (on the existing shelves. - waterproof and see through millions of them with things in, slide in an out and easy to take down. honestly we did it in my garage and it was the best decision I've EVER made. hundreds of sturdy plastic tubs with my olds gaming stuff, dvds, pc parts, components etc, all numbered and labelled, clearly and with an itinerary list on the end of each row in case things move round.
It's a little ocd but honestly it was so worth the time and effort. Love it.

How do you propose utilizing the depth of your shelves when you have significantly smaller items For example, old desktop bases and monitors/CRTs can fill to the back, however boxed media (games, movies, music) will definitely leave extensive room behind.
If I lived nearby I'd love to assist you in organizing everything (I'd only charge a couple of burgers and lemonade during our breaks) as it does look like a very nifty (LG)Rchive you got there.

Just wanted to say, well done man. I've been watching you forever, I remember loving your 5150 video back in the day. You've come a long way since then and you've kept up the quality content the whole time, even when your house was cut in half by a tree. it's nice to see you rebuilding it all after the storm one day you will get there again bud, keep up the great work and Retro PC's 4 Life! got four myself currently working on a 4th build a High-end Intel Pentium4 HT Northwood C Build and the Intel i875P Canterwood chiipset, something I never tried before.

Clint, please PLEASE get a 3D printer. Modern printers are idiot proof in operation, and you could print so many solutions to your shelf organizing/formatting woes. I bought one to play around with, and 90% of my prints so far have been things made to help me store/display my various collections.

18: 24 -- Living In A Box by Living In A Box. I randomly (re)discovered these guys in 2026 after being only subliminally aware of the song from the original '87 Masters of the Universe movie as a kid. It's quite a banger. Their first two albums are synth-pop gold, as I've discovered.

You need to grid your shelves, label the shelves, then mark things as they come out of your car to grid locations. I do that for various ware house items and log them in as I put them on shelves. Use either a tablet and transfer to a computer for a searchable log.

There are people in Hollywood whose full-time job is recreating period-appropriate houses and rooms for movies and TV. You should find one and see what they could do with the retro room. I bet they'd have hundreds of contacts to get the best, most authentic decor.

I took a whole bunch of retro annuals out of my bookshelf when I had to have a week off for medical reasons. Was a good opportunity for a clean out! Could have done without plugging my vaccum cleaner into the wrong side of the UPS and almost blowing it up though!

A shot of the video card shelf revealed two of my all time favorites: the ATI All in Wonder 128 and the Voodoo 3 3500 TV AGP. Before the ATI I had a crappy Matrox Mystique, and after the Voodoo 3 I got my first and last nVidia card whose model escapes me.

Not sure if you've done this, but I'd be fascinated to see if you have some sort of stock inventory spreadsheet/database for all of this. e. g. showing shelf number/boxes/contents of boxes, etc. Just one of the geeky things I'd find fun
