DKC is probably my favorite platformer. I love all five country games but the original has the best music and levels. DKC3 has the most unique level design but I could go on forever praising this series.
I'm a Nintendo fanMAN. You might consider it sacrilege but even tho Super Mario Bros was the first game I ever played and I love the Mario series infinitely, I consider DKC a better series.
Don't sleep on the soundtrack to Tropical Freeze. Its almost to big for its own good but the more I play the more I love it.

I love this game. It's basically platforming perfection. Whenever I play a new platformer (typically pre-modern era, I always compare it to DKC to assess its quality. I think DKC 3 is underrated, yeah it sucks that it doesn't have good ol DK and Diddy Kong in it, but everything else about the game is brilliant, and they managed to make the graphics look even better. The level of detail in that game is mindblowing especially when you consider that it's an SNES game.

lol, a while ago, i thought about using microsoft sam instead of torturing myself with my horrible voice acting; watching your review, i totally regret deciding against that idea. doggoneit! great review, as always.

You know. when my mother bought our first SNES it was the one that came with this game free. It also had the soundtrack on cd. To this day I believe I still have the game and soundtrack, but I have NEVER played the game. hmmm

I have this game like 2 foot away at all times. I can totally relate to the happy feels you get from it. The music, sfx, characters gormless mugs, all of it is brilliant.
