Ah I remember how different everything was in the pre-RoS days when AH was around and sprites were alot bigger. Love it or hate it, D3 has undergone THE most changes since release, moreso than any other game I can think of. I've been playing D3 since it came out and RoS is my main GtG on PC(Go to Game. I'm a 15 year on and off vet of LoD and Diablo 1/Hellfire was my early childhood since D1 came as a demo, that along with Quake and a few other good early games. To note though, Blizzard really did a stellar job of balancing out the classes with the last patch, because if you search up the world leader boards there's not really one person via class diff high up who's more OP than another. I'm hyped for patch 2. 1 and the Greater Rifts and Legendary Gems. because gem-crafting rendered me tens of millions short. Good review, LGR, shame I missed this!

Diablo 3 had a rough launch, and as a result there are so many hateful comments about it even in 2018. Even after the experience is so much better in 2018. But no matter how much you polish it and make it better, the rough launch makes a lot of people not look back to try it again after all the patching. It's such a shame, I think it's actually a pretty great game apart from the online garbage, I thought they took away the online requirement because of public backlash, but maybe that was just wishful thinking. I understand they did it to prevent cheating but still, nobody likes DRM with good reason

Ok, now you say pirating is a bad thing.
Its a matter of a view point.
Do i view each pirated game as someone that played the game and didnt like it or do i view each pirated game as lost income.
You choose to view it as being -lost income- from what ive read.
And consoles have just as much pirated games anyway.
Now if you gonna keep saying that -pirating is bad mmkay-, atleast try to understand why people pirate in the first place, and some pirates do it out because of Bad-DRM reasons.

Well theres many people that gets games through. other methods. even when they have bought it.
Maybe they lack a disc, maybe the cd key was lost, think about all the things that would result in a gamer getting a spare working copy of a game they bought before.
And today piracy is a result of DRM, not the opposite.
The more bad DRM there is, the more piracy will be created.
And the more AAA companies will put bad DRM in.
Smart companies know DRM doesnt work, and skips it completely.

I think the online only thing was cause they wanted the real money auction thing to work out without people breaking the game like having copies of saves, sell their stuff for real money, roll back the saves and repeat it again adding more money to it. I simply think they just wanted the real money from the auctions because of the 15% successful sale fee and a extra 15% for money transfers into paypal that came from your auctions earning (totaling 30% )
p. s. I think Diablo possessed Blizz =P

You're completely wrong about most of those statements, don't throw statements around that you cannot backup with proof.
Have you heard of a game called The Witcher 2? Yea pretty good game. It sold 1 million copies. But got pirated a staggering 5 million times, despite The Witcher 2 having absolutely no DRM. And games like Crysis have reinforced Crytek's belief that PC exclusivity is bad. Crysis had very basic DRM, but was pirated so much that the game Crytek became a multi platform developer.

Dont treat gamers with hostility and fearfulness.
The second a company signals: -Hey we suspect you for pirating so just to make sure we made a DRM from hell to make sure you cant even play the game unless you install so much malware that your computer thinks its infected by a real virus. -
Treat gamers with respect:
Signal: -Hey its cool if you liked the game and if you didnt pay for it, consider paying for it so we can make better games in the future for you! -

Yes, i agree. I think their simply lazy from rubbing their greedy hands at the prospect of getting more real money from the real money auction to actually allow what you suggested to be implemented into the game, most true diablo fans would've gone for the single play/LAN over the online crap and greedy players would've wanted online and blizz wanted both groups
Pretty annoyed about the lag too, had a glitch where the server lagged and 2 monsters had 0HP and was still attacking me non-stop

I seriously dont get it. Perhaps this game is dood, i dont know. Byt i remember many years after i used to hear a lot of talk about Diablo 2 never to actually play it my self(but there was some talking and everyone seemed to like it. I finally tried it out after all those years just because i was playing old games and though 'why not give Diablo 2 a shot'. AND IT WAS AWFUL. I cant believe what the deal was, it was so strange and ugly and pointless with just a repeat of slashing and running.

From my experiences solo online play also reduces loot drop rate by 70%. So not only do one get -70% of loot when they play solo online, they also get to deal with lagg and network disconnects.
For comparison i got full inventory before each waypoint and atleast 2-4 blues when i was with a friend.
Solo i got half a inventory full of whites and MAYBE 1 blue.
And yeah, if anything torchlight 2 feels better.
Path of exile, has the online part of it just like diablo 3 though.
