This is a simulator, unlike games like L4D which are arcade shooters. A zombie can take you down in one well-placed swipe, their movements are erratic so a badly-placed shot will only waste what little ammo you have, shooting in a populated area will attract more zombies or survivors (or worse, bandits. And when you die, that's it, game over. You lose everything, you're back to square one. Every single move has to be carefully planned out or you'll die in a horrible way, losing hours of work.

1 last thing. You shouldn't reload after every shot. Count the bullets in your clip and try to only reload when it's empty. You guys for messed up because you had to reload into half empty clips making you reload more often. You even had a clip with just 2 bullets in it. Good show btw. I love to run into you once and hope for once I don't get shot on sight. I did see you on a server earlier btw, just the name though

Man, you'd think that by this point that FPS's would have come up with a way to keep ladders/elevators/stairs from freaking killing you randomly like that. FPS characters haven't evolved past cardboard cutouts with stiff limbs, barely able to move. and especially with a game like this, you'd think that if they're taking realism so seriously that they'd put in little fixes to crap like that.

The rogue-like aspects of it combined with the survival simulation really help set it apart from most anything else out there. Patience, practice, and a cool head in impossible situations are a must to play this for very long. As the website says: all you need to play the game is Arma 2 CO, the mod itself, and BALLS.

This one is the most intense (so far at least. With the lack of gear and zombies almost everywhere and permadeath, survival is though. Unfortunately, people think it's deathmatch, so they'll kill you for fun or y our gear. Guess that would be like real life if something like that happened.

Yes, we were mostly playing on the FI3 server. Since we normally play late at night and the gameplay takes place in real time, we often play on European servers so we can get in as the sun is coming up. Either that or find a local inverted server, but those rarely have open slots.

I learned something from this vid. The white icon that is not the broken bones but resembles a disconnected cable, means your in shock. it'll run out in 5 minutes, but if you log in with that status you spend alot of time unconcious. Basically a free lunch for any zombie.

Hehe, yes, such things are certainly possible here and the results are fantastic if you can pull it off. The allure of finding and fixing a helicopter, Humvee or set of ATVs is the stuff of survivalist fantasy, and is just one more thing that makes this mod freaking awesome.
