Oh my God, my ears perked up when you said the words -Cash Converters-. lol We had one of those in my town (Charlottetown, PE, and they were straight up a fence for the local thieves. Like, blatantly taking obviously stolen stuff in front of other customers. They ended up buying lots of junk aside from that, so once they were busted they ended up having to try riding on the inventory from a Microplay (a video game rental/sales place from Quebec) in the same building that was closing up. After buying what they could of that inventory, they continued to fail and, after taking over Microplay's old spot and downsizing space and staff, they had their own inventory bought up by another local pawn shop and finally left.

I had a copy of Earth & Beyond way back, and in 2003 it was indeed dead, which I only learned after patching it on a shit-nowhere DSL connection. Maybe these days there's some fan-run servers, but I doubt it.
EDIT: Wikipedia says it was shut down in 2004, but I know damn well the time I could finally install it and subsequently had my little 8-year-old heart broken was in the summer of 2003.

Yes! The microwave cookbooks, and old ads from that early-mid 80s era are hilarious. Microwave manufacturers really did fondly imagine we'd be cooking 3-course meals in our microwaves, instead of just defrosting and reheating stuff.
The funny thing is that I'd hate living without a microwave, but I'd never -cook- anything beyond a pre-made meal in it.

I had MLB Power Pros on the Wii and the classic controller is the only way to go but for as cute and Manga like that the game is Clint it is actually an extremely deep involved baseball sim. Edit: First your farts smell like leather then you fart dust then you better not misjudge one of those babies.

that antek case was actually a NZXT source 210 case! I recognized it as soon as you pulled it out of the box! one of my favorite cases ive used in computer builds, very thick steel for only 40 bucks, and the plastic on the front isnt cheap plastic. also there was lots of room on the inside

i found a game boy pocket for 50 rand ($3. 26) at a flea market to day
working in great condition, just no games, a few dead pixels on the screen and no battery cover but it works great! had to go get a 15 in 1 cart at a retro gaming store later

9: 33 looks like the clipart pack includes some alchemical sigils as well as demonic crests, according to the dictionary. You can create Christmas cards for your relatives -and- summon dark spirits with the simple click of a mouse!

Man, I go to Goodwill almost every day at lunch and I've never seen any consoles or many games. Its like they filter that stuff out at the store I go to. But I have found 20oz of sterling silver for cheap, so I'll take the trade.

My jaw dropped at the sight of all of those SNES and N64 games, and they looked decently priced. A lot of the thrift shops in my area jack up the prices as if they were brand new (eg. $75 for Mario Paint, $100 for Ocarina of Time)

Earth & Beyond was Westwood Studios' last title before the brand was discontinued by EA - pity I never heard about the game (on Westwood's public FTP server of all places) until well after the servers had been shutdown
