I remember playing a wonky version of Missile Command with similar graphics back in the Windows 9x days. I couldn't tell you for the life of me what it was called, but it was really weird. I didn't have the game, my Grandma had it on her computer, along with other good games like Jezzball and that one where you connect the pipes before the liquid spills out of them and Chip's Challenge. As well as other software like this one suite of Dilbert related stuff that included some strange clone games as well as one where you go around the office collecting donuts. Good times.

For some reason it made an impression on me too, and I don't even know why. I played this game when I was four, maybe for a total of a couple hours, never got much farther from the starting location, never even knew there were scientist to rescue, and couldn't remember the name of the game until now. Yet I remember vividly the cool helicopter, the garish color scheme, and that I somehow accidentally removed it from my aunt's computer. Was looking for this game ever since, for close to twenty five years now.

Hmm. the scientists look like they're saying -Hey, taxi. -.
Speaking of which, I'm busting my ass killing all these alien craft like a scene out of Independence Day for only 1000 points apiece, yet these scientists are worth ten times that, why? So they can tell me the secret to destroy the alien fleet? Well, I seem to be doing that already, although I'm probably doing more damage than the aliens were doing originally, what with dropping neutron bombs all over the place.

I played this on a cdrom today disk years and years ago. The version I played was a little bit better, the scary soldier pic was gone, there were faces on both sides of the difficulty selection, and had sound effects using the internal speakers too.
However it was still shit.

I noticed too that the radar is the exact same size as the game screen. This looks like it was made by aliens who don't quite grasp the concept of these strange -electronic games-. They can name the necessary components, but don't get why they're there.

Wow I remember this game. And I loved it. However now that I have an understanding of how video games work. I can honestly say that this game sucks lol. I kinda still wanna play it, but I don't want to go through the trouble of backwards compatibility.

I was amazed when you showed that start up shareware screen and it said Lowell, MA as I live in the next town. I've driven by that street many times, it's in a residential area so must've been some guys random start up

Ah, Windows shareware. somehow this reminds me of the many hours I spent playing Castle of the Winds, part I. Repeatedly, since I never got part II (which you had to pay for. But it was enjoyable nonetheless.

This vaguely reminds me of a game I had called -Chopper Commando-, it's graphics were a lot more basic than this but I always had fun in the game. Especially since you could destroy the environment
