That mini console reminds me a lot of the oculus rift dk2 plug in thing, multiple ports and plugs coming from both sides to hook everything up
When I was really young I made this flash -game- where a dragon flew around a castle and you could push the mouse button to make it breathe fire, the -goal- was to destroy the castle. But I didn't know how to do any collision detection or any sort of interactability, having only learned about flash from slideshows. So basically it was an animation of a dragon flying around a castle and the castle would just break, regardless of whether or not the player made the dragon breathe fire. I was surprised to find out that no one really noticed lol, since everyone tends to try to do the same thing, no one noticed that the program wasnt interacting with the user at all, it just an animation. A tomato could definitely win that game lol
motionless gameplay is still more interactive than a movie
Ooof that software clearly shows they got stuck in making no progress with the hardware for way longer than they budgeted for lol

Aw man, i had heard someone mention that Hypnospace Outlaw's HypnOS might have been inspired by this and i got really intrigued. Now that I know its just a glorified pulse oximeter that turns on guidance for whatever object is meant to move. I wasnt expecting or wanting a headband that runs using your mind while you sleep, but this is a massive dissappointment. Thank you for the video though, had no idea this existed, you did a great job presenting it.

This just feel like someone had this crazy idea that seems like it miiiiiiiiiight work. And then they started developing it and probably quickly realized that the og concept is pretty much impossible. However, they've already sunk a bunch of cost into it so they have to sell some product to recoup cost. So, they just cut back the of ambition way down to a point where it's barely still a thing, and scrambled together something that can just barely be sold

If the thing is supposed to measure galvanic skin response, it would be interesting to test it on a friend or relative. Google some lie detector test questions to ask them. Better if you can ask someone something you know they'll lie about or something that really makes them uncomfortable. Not to use it as an actual lie detector, but to see if there's a noticeable difference between calm and stressed with the thing.

I had an OCZ NIA (Neural Interface Actuator or some crap) anyway. It really worked! It was so weird too because all those movies where a person is trying to learn to use mind powers they are right. You couldn't force it to do what you wanted. You had to relax and want it to happen.

I know this is 5 years old but it came up in my recommendations. We had this when I was younger and I remember playing the skiing game. for those brief 10 minutes, my 7 year old mind thought it was the pinnacle of technology. Then I went to play with something else

oh, i know mind bowling! just place the head of a member of the marketing department for that device right where the balls get spat out at the bowling place. it will definitely alter their mind. probably some sort of improvement, given the mind state started out at.

I'm pretty sure that wasn't the end of this, the concept planned over the 90's and early 2000's resurrected by people who'll change the world everytime, saving the disabled and locked in, anyway now it's all about VR mind control. I'll bet it's still suckey

I bought some games, like madden, for windows back in day. They seemed so cool. Two issues. I-m a consoler and I didn-t believe it was possible to play on mouse and keyboard. Also it ran like balls. But I was curious about this market.

I remember seeing this in Comp USA when I was picking up my copy of Quake. I always use to pass by it and stare at it thinking it was nonsense. Since then, I've always wondered if it worked or not, and finally, I get to find out!
