Join me as I go out thrifting, in search of games and interesting goods at various discount shops! Goodwills and bear statues Thener: The keyboards with the AT connector would cost more than the ps/2 models but they were still being made well into the 2000's so ones with the win key are actually pretty common. I know because my pc till 2005 was a 486 DX2 and I had to buy a couple serial mouses and one AT keyboard in its lifetime, ISA modens would also be hard to find and cost a lot more too. after I got my creative kit with a soundblaster 16 and a matsushita CD rom I also had to get special joypads and those would also cost more than usb or whatever the standard it was at that time.

Aww man that Monopoly box brings back memories! When I was younger I had a copy of a game that looks identical to the screenshots on the box, but my copy was an international version (probably because I'm from Australia) with international boards and different currency options. I've tried locating it online, but all I can find is the US copy with only US city boards (Boston, Chicago, etc) and different voiceovers than what I remember. Any pointers as to finding information from my version?

I keep seeing obscure stuff I own i n these episodes! I own that typewriter at 8: 30, though that one looks to be an earlier version. I cant name the brand offhand, (king or something) but I do know about that jammed keys problem. I picked up mine at a rummage sale for 5$ since none of the keys worked. Turns out all it needs is a bit of oil and it works fine. I've got it fully working as of now, but I've just started an effort to make it look completely new.

5: 57 Wow blast from the past, I remember these boot things from the mid 80s. They were supposed to make your boots smell good. I guess Taita did not appreciate the insinuation that they had smelly feet.
Ps: Anyone else find it sad when they come across obviously unused or unopened gifts in thrift shops with the name of the people they were intended to/from still attached? It always gets to me, especially if it is kid stuff.

6: 00 yooooo, keeping the -to/from- label on when you dump a present in a local thrift store? That's cold. That way when the people who gave it to you stumble upon it, there'll be no WAY they can plausibly think that this is just a coincidence and that this thing just HAPPENS to look identical to the one they gave their loved one.

I got one of those chicony keyboards (actually typing this on it)
real solid feeling keys, but only two key rollover. Mine doesn't have the windows keys, so a little older. 5/29/90 on the back of it.
Fun fact, it prevented me from playing assassin's creed due to its poor porting requiring lots of combinations of keys.

So believe it or not, on that Christian games disk, the chicken wars game is honestly pretty fun! I remember playing it as a kid. And there is now a free to play new game on steam called chicken wars I-m pretty sure. Should try em and do a review. They are super goofy, but I remember the gameplay being pretty fun.

Maaan that Sanyo or 15 bucks. YES! SO YES!
That typewriter with the round keys next to the carousel looks like something you should've liked really!
Classic train set and you didn't even show it? Sure wish this video was interactive every now and then; .
Also that TI Home COmputer in the box. Yeah!

6: 26 The issue with buying modern games at used / thrift stores is the activation. For example GTA 5 is tied to your Rockstar account, so even if it included the key code, good luck. I would only buy those for the discs or the case, but never to actaully play unless it was still sealed, new in box.

Yeah, the giggling babies are creepy. Reminded me of about 10 years ago at Walmart, some employee had a sense of humor and faced a whole wall of those creepy wiggly babies that all had a knack of simultaneously wiggling and giggling whenever you walked down the aisle.
Talk about creepy!
