It shocks me that you haven't played Link to the Past. Man, that game is my childhood. I've been collecting a bunch of games from my childhood and that is one I am lacking, so you really lucked out! It would be impossible to get that lucky around here. Most of these goes to gaming stores like Game King and you wind up paying out the butt for them. I had to buy Super Mario All Stars that way and I am still not happy about the price I had to pay for it and I found it at a flea market half off what they wanted at the regular gaming store. It still felt to be a bit too much to me, but eh. Whatever. I play it quite a bit and I guess it hasn't been a total waste, lol.

This is a really weird thing but as a hifi nerd I cry everytime I see a nice looking CDP in these videos. For some reason, despite tape decks and even turntables being pretty common at my thrifts, I just CAN NOT FIND a decent CD player. I've seen two; a Pioneer unit ganged to a receiver whose laser was totally dead and my personal Technics unit which is really nice but suffers tracking issues of some form that require you to sit and leave it on with the disc in for a minute to -warm up- and then maybe open and close the tray to let the thing -get it right- tracking wise.

The problem with Suzuki TT Superbikes II on PS2 is that it lacks the main selling point of the original game, the full-length 37. 7 mile Snaefell Mountain Course around the Isle of Man, the track upon which the Manx TT takes place. The game itself was only so-so as a motorcycle racer but merely having the entire Isle of Man track with an impressive amount of real-world trackside detail (with dozens, if not hundreds of unique buildings) was an incredible technical feat on PS2.

Sold that exact transcriber the other week for 100 bucks. Used alot by medical professionals, legal aids and secretary's but they no longer produce the small tapes that are required. The tapes are in fact rewiteable if you have them, but otherwise avoid. incase anyone runs acrooss them! I hope you read this in lgrs voice. because that's what i was going for! . love the vids lets gets back to some thrifts!

Cool video, love it. This reminds me of the open area flee markets which we have here in Europe. Here you just go there, and then go through all the junk, or should I say gold: D Off course bargain with the people about price is part of the story. And it is not that much about buying but for the lure of hunting and discovering. ;)

ion turn table i think if you really want good sound is getting an old machine that was top of the line in its day and hook that up to a pc. might be a hassle. but much beter than these things that got dumped on the market to make a quick buck out of the record revival. annyway Techmoan probably knows beter than me

I bought the Sony TC-630 at a thrift store a while ago for around $30 without the speakers. It was fun for a little while, but it started working intermittently after a while, and wouldn't play at the correct speed a lot of the time. It was probably a good call not to buy that one. I still have hopes of fixing mine though.

Nice find with that copy of Locomotion. I had no idea it came in a Big Box. I picked it up back around '05 or '06 at a Scholastic Book Fair in just a jewel case and held on to it forever, and recently bought it again on GOG. Great game, would recommend if you like the tycoon/simulation genre.

I have that exact ion turntable. it's decent, although I haven't used it to rip records too much. One of the plastic hinges on the lid broke so now it's a bit of a pain to switch records. Also the needle stays at the centre after the record is done playing so you can't forget about it.
