The funny thing about stuff packs is that they are voted on by the community, but then a lot of times, people are like, -this is boring- or -not what I expected-, but I've voted in these polls and EA pretty much tells you exactly what these stuff packs are going to be; they don't make it vague or tell you about stuff that might be in it, but then isn't, so how do you complain about something that sounded good to you? It's even worse when people say they voted for X stuff pack, but then are like, -I hate this stuff pack, I should have voted for X. - Well, why didn't you vote for that one? This is one of the very few things EA kind of takes from the community (despite the fact that I'm sure these packs all exist before we even vote on them, so even if we suggest what could be in them, it won't happen, so vote for what you actually want to see in the game, not voting for something that sounds -okay- and you're really hoping they add more/different stuff than what they described. Or don't vote, at all, but complaining just seems odd because EA hasn't seemed to lie about what they are including in the packs, even though most of them could be fleshed out more OR, better yet, put into expansion packs (I really don't even understand game packs. But sigh, fully fleshed out expansion packs seem to be a thing of the past.
Like, stuff packs used to be a good range of stuff that would go into your sims game, with a good amount of whole new sets and items that would go with old pieces from previous expansions or the base game. Stuff packs now just seem to be one or two sets of items and then items that are really game play things. Like, why not actually fill stuff packs with stuff and then have expansion packs actually bring in multiple new game play elements? I just hate how shallow everything for this game is. It makes no sense to nickle and dime people along like this, but then again, people keep buying it, so why should EA fix anything?

originally I got this thinking I was just paying for a rock wall but honestly I was pretty happy with the aesthetic of the furniture and the light fixtures. I think they are def over charging for some of this content when they could instead be saving them for larger packs. like if they had done this right they could have combined this with the spa pack and even maybe include other fitness options that aren't just the same as what we already have. Maybe a wii fit type of thing would have been neat or maybe include workout with a tv show option. like they really cut themselves short and in the end these don't feel worth it.

I've been watching your Sims videos for years and I really appreciate your honesty.
Your review made me hold off buying the Sims 4 and I still refuse to buy it for the amount of money they want for it.
I've been playing Sims from the beginning and I just expected more out of Sims 4, but it honestly looks like the have taken a step back and have given up.
I'm waiting for the announcement of Sims 5. and hope the start listing to long time fans on what the game needs.

I love your reviews. I don't always agree with your overall impression because I am definitely a fan of toddler and kids room stuff, etc. I am a creature of the eye. I always watch you knowing you'll trash stuff packs, but I use your review content to decide whether that stuff pack could 'fit in' into my sims 4 playing style. If I like the content you've tested out, I buy it, even if you don't personally recommend it.

Have to say that this one was rather disappointing, it felt like a missed opportunity to add gym equipment that people actually use such as cross-trainers, exercise bikes and a rowing machine. It also would've been perfect for bikes (for both adults and children) to be in this pack, but hey we got bikes for adults in the University pack.
Basically, this could've been a patch for Spa Day, but it isn't.

The furniture and and clothing from this actually seems pretty nice, but it just doesn't feel like a complete pack. Like the devs started making a fully fleshes out pack and then corporate stepped in and said -nope! That's enough stuff! What? You want more new gameplay features? Quality content? Answering fans' requests? Nah, we'll just give them a half baked stuff pack and call it good. -

This pack was such a let-down. I was hoping for completely new fitness items. Like a pull-up bar, a rowing machine, stationary bike, etc. No, we got the same items that we got in base game and spa day (for some reason - I have never seen a spa which included fitness items so that was weird. I liked the climbing wall but that's it.

i'm mostly annoyed that u can only listen to two (2) stations in the headphones, i want my sims to listen to some s-pop! it would've been rlly cool if they added podcasts for them to listen to as well! they don't even have to be skill building like in sims 3, they could just be the equivalent of the talk radio station

Maybe they are experimenting at this point fitness stuff should be $7. 50 it barely comes with anything and the climbing wall doesn't look very fun just imagining my sims on fire can they actually die from being on fire? Oh. Idk but the earbuds are cool if they turn them down a bit maybe a future update?

When you notice a pattern of stuff packs including what came in the Sims 3 base game -face palm-
For example, I remember my Sims in Sims 3 could work out to the TV without needing a stuff pack to achieve that small feat. To music too, I think.
