Wait, you have to give citizens heat? How would that even make sence?
I'm pretty sure heat is something each household has to fix themselves.
If you want good isolation, well, then you have to fix that YOURSELF. Do you want to be able to heat your own house? Well that's YOUR job.
Then you buy a fireplace, or you have one. Or for newer houses, or flats, electrical heating.
That's not the states problem!
Well, this is so in Norway, anyways.
I don't know how that is in America, or about everywhere else.
I really don't see the STATE using money on that.
Or that they would have pipes running down with heat in 'em. That would just be inefficient.

I completely agree that splitting the weather up into separate maps completely changes the worth of the content. I went from -snow? hm- to -yeah, no thanks-. Maybe someday they'll introduce actual seasons. I bet it's kinda hard to do, and part of me believes that was their original intent and perhaps programming issues got in the way, much like when the Sims 2 originally promised weather base game and ended up needing to completely scrap it because they couldn't even get rain to stop leaking through the houses, among other nightmarish bugs. Also, they forgot hail. Hail can be a nightmare.

I would have happily paid $30 for a real seasons based expansion pack, with decent weather that changes depending on the temperature and the time of year. It would have been nice to see things like schools getting cancelled because buses can't safely navigate icy and snowy roads. And an autumn, where the colors of the leaves change and litter the ground, and summer where power consumption is up from air conditioning, and hospitals are more taxed from heat related problems. Oh well, I guess. This is one aspect if life that city builders never seem to bother with.

I don't understand why they don't make seasons and make this DLC valid. It should work exactly like resources, display on each map the avg. temperature of the seasons. If there is a map that has a snow period just tell the user he will have a rough time during winters if they don't have the DLC. I would really like to have some services that only work during snow times to make the city more dynamic.

I remember building my first city on a snow map, and people were -C O M P L A I N I N G- about heat or electricity! They used WAY more power than I make, so I tried to build more power plants to keep them warm and satisfied, but no. Until I saw a policy where people are not allowed to use electricity for heating. So I used it, and I finally got my breath of relief! No more complaining!

It'll be really nice if they ever come up with an -seasons- expansion pack, so when summer turns to autumn, trees turn red. When autumn turns winter, trees turn naked. Heat factory needs to start running. When winter turns spring, flowers everywhere. Heat factory can be shut down to save budget and will be reopened next year. Just imagine that.

I bought snowfall because of the trams. I love trams and I did realy mis them in the stock game.
The rest of the DLC was a disapointment. I was hoping to be able to make huge wintersport areas on moantains and it having seasons, but that was not in the DLC. Still worth it because of the trams (I also had a discount.

4: 40 that is correct though, I dont know if you live in a country affected by Winter. But rivers dont usually freeze ( completely. In my town, we have about from the shore to 10m that freezes. The river itself never freezes. And it gets to -30 degree celcious on an average day here. ( around January )

Can someone plz take a game engine and have it so you build your city and then you can go around it like fallout 4. Have also a basic fps mode and quest maker so you can place some over here then link the quest to it.
just think you could build a game like skim this way in 9 months as 1 person.

The more I watch your vids the more I really want a vid to know which mods you use or at least a handy link to some of them that you don't mention the names of XD
