Hey, I have a quick question. I have been a fan for a while now, but haven't really gotten into your videos until recently. I was watching a video the other night, I think it might have been a thrift episode, where you were in your room talking to the camera. I think it was either the end or the beginning. Beside you was a Sony CRT, and I was wondering what TV was that? I think there was a PlayStation hooked up to it.
Edit: I found the episode, it is episode 16 of Thrifts, in the beginning, I still don't know what the TV is though.

It looks kind of interesting to me, it's curious to see someone who probably started by trying to make a clone of Galaga that would have less than 64K (It's not stated outright, but the demoscene influence in the style and small size seems to suggest so if I had to warrant a guess) and ended up putting their own spin on things and creating a game that is maybe not the most interesting, but at least an interesting curiosity in history of Galaga series clones and spinoffs.

Anyone remember the old shareware catalog called The Software Labs. I loved those catalogs. I may have actually liked them more than my porn stash. Yeah, we use to stash porn mags as kids before the internet. We also had to work to keep our parents from finding our porn. Mom would trash them or Dad would steal them. Can't remember the number of times I took them back from my Dad, his stashing skills were weak. Now kids can just close their browser.

What exactly is the reason for picking an older game to do a review on specifically? I understand why you would do a game that just came out like Far Cry Primal, but when it comes to older titles like this one is it just a game that at the time you are replaying or thinking about so you decide -why not make a video on it? - or do you just occasionally write a bunch of titles down and throw them into a hat and pull one?

I see that Dave Mirra game on your shelf behind you. I used to play it crap loads when I was a kid. He was a hometown hero for me since me and him are from Greenville, NC. Also brings up the fact that he recently took his own life. It's crazy how people you've never met can affect your life. Anyways, great video as always Clint.

Thinking about shareware/demo shooters reminds me of Kaeon. It was only 3 levels, with a style that put a lot of emphasis on parallax scrolling. It had amazing midi music and the most interesting part was that the bosses and mini bosses had to be worn down by breaking off pieces of them, revealing complexity underneath.

Clint. I implore you. be careful getting into buying LPs. It all starts with -oh, yeah. there's this inside Herb Alpert joke I wanna get in on. - And turns into, well, judging by the number of PC games on the shelf behind you, I think you're well aware of what it can turn into.

This reminds me of the days of PS1 when Namco Museum was released and the game Galaxian was on there. It was awesome and it had this little sci-fi stage set you went in to play the game. Thanks for the memories LGR. now I've got to some tiny onion ninjas to find.

Hey, Clint, I really think you should review Sid Meier's Railroad Tycoon for MS-DOS. You touched on it in your review of Sid Meier's Civilization, but I think it deserves a full review or at least a quick review. Last year was the 25th anniversary of its release.
