First impressions regarding PUBG and my experience so far in the June 2017 early access PC version. All while winning my first match through a series of clumsy choices and ill-advised strategy!

I was playing last night (on this map, landed in an empty-ish area, started looting, found a bike. The play area began shrinking, so i deployed the bike and rode it in at full speed. Reached a ruined castle, and accidentally noticed someone's shadow among the ruins. Stopped, started sneaking, saw their own bike parked nearby (which proved my suspicion that someone was there. We faced off, they shot me a couple of times from some rifle or AR, but i had a fancy auto- shotgun, and wasted them in a shot or two. Looted what I could from them and continued running from the plasma wall. Came across a small town, heard gunfire in the far distance. Went to explore the town. On the second floor of one of the houses, in the window there was a character who started shooting at me, but they were a lousy shot, so i circled around the house and sneaked in. At first, i was trying to ambush them as they'd be coming at me, but they weren't, so i went at them instead. As it turned out, they had bounced. I hung around the area for a bit, thinking they were lying in wait, but - nothing. Then i figured that they sneaked out of the house and stole my bike while I was still trying to ambush them inside. But no, the bike was still where i had left it. So i took the bike and continued running from the blue, thinking that the other person could just stay there, hiding, if they so liked it. But wouldn't you know it? Just as i made my way downhill, i see them running! At first i thought they had their own bike and got excited for a bike-chase, but no, they were on foot. I caught up to them, got off the bike, and filled them with buckshot. As i was looting their corpse, someone else started shooting at me. I've managed to evade half of their shots, but they got me in the end, because i got too freaked out and forgot to heal up while i had the chance. Good stuff.

What a showoff. J/K. I used to play COD: MW2 when I got laid off. Played it for 8 hours a day for 1 year. I went from last place(25th) to 2nd place in that year. Almost made it to 1st place but the server disconnected. Now, I've tried this and played about 40 games. I only got 4 kills. I spend more time in lobby than actually playing the game. I don't bother collecting good stuff anymore. I'll die within one minute of someone getting close.
Once, when I knew someone was nearby, I held a grenade, waiting for the right time. He killed me and that made me drop the grenade. When he came closer to loot me, the grenade went off. The screen showed that I killed him, but I didn't get any kill points since I died first. But that was so satisfying to watch. I didn't plan for that to happen. It was an accident, but good to know now: )

You were at the most hot spot for loot. That military base is a slaughterfest. Frying pan will literally save your ass. Basically it is Arma in a battle royale. Play squads, and you have to use teamwork, or no chicken dinner for you. Vehicles spawn facing East. Use caution though, because if you are like me, you park a vehicle facing that way to add to surprise.
Red circle is a bombing run. The circle ticks dmg more as it gets smaller. Like I said though, the game is fun, but as with any multiplayer game, you have assholes who need to cheat because learning is rough.

not picking up the suppressor, AND using a crowbar instead of the pan. im soooo triggered right now: D hehehehehe
Edit: just finished watching this. M24 with an RDS on and the 8x scope in the bag, dropped the AR suppressor way back in the woods, not picking up redbulls and using them. Man I was so frustrated watching this video: D amazing job on getting that dinner, you have to be the luckiest sob in the world of PUBG: D

No gaming experience beats winning a chicken dinner in that game, Congrats dude. A hundred mistakes and a lot of luck but they didnt matter. Its so emotional as a game you feel like you really survived that situation and your body reacts that way its unbeatable as a game IMHO. Loved the nooby innocence of your review. There are first person (FPP) only games where the pro's play see you in one one day maybe.

from what I gather there are two playstyles to succeed with pubg, either you play smart and wait untill everyone else kills off eachother and land in low player count area's and steal the kill from who ever is left or you play aggressive and try to kill off as much of the competition as possible - I like pubg because you dont have to be the best fps killer to win, you can win through strategy and patience.

I am happy for you that you enjoy the game but for me the game is, and this video is proof, -walk around for 20 minutes and loot stuff alone before actually getting into some kind of action- and if you get into the action I often don't see the enemy. So I myself do not enjoy this game sadly: -/

Battle Royale was a popular mod type for a while for things like ARMA based on a classic Japanese work. Personally I like the DayZ style where interactions can go more ways than simply getting shot but a game of BR has a player vs player intensity that hasn't been matched in a long while.

When I first started, I thought -How useful can the pan be? It only covers like 1/8th of your body, c'mon-.
It has saved my ass so many times. I've gotten out of so many bad situations with a sliver of health, because the pan caught just enough bullets to get me to safety.

I've never saw the appeal of these type of games. They are short lived, and after a while you've pretty much done the same thing over and over again never really accomplishing anything. Its pretty crazy too, since you repeat the same thing expecting a different result each time.
