That thinkpad looks to be a 380xd, I have one of those. I'm actually planning on turning it into a retro PC. even got myself the docking station so I can have a joystick port AND a MIDI port (time to fire up the MT-32. Should run DOOM just fine - the sound card on the thing is a special Crystal chip that does both Windows Sound System and Sound Blaster Pro in hardware.

I know this is an older video and I'm still burning through them but I'm glad to see you got an IBM thinkpad. A neighbor actually gave my dad one last month and I was gonna send it to you because we couldn't get it to work. It'd come on but it needed a startup disc or something but by the time I got money to have it shipped he broke it cause it didn't work.

-MIND'S EYYYYYEEEEEE-
DUDE, Beyond the Mind's Eye (the second one that had some of the CGI effects from The Lawnmower Man) was the -_absolute shit_- for me as a young kid, so maybe one day I need to track down a copy, maybe as well as a VHS tape of it since that was what we used to originally own. Thanks for the memory rush, Clint and Eric.

Dude, I watched the crap out of Mind's Eye when I was a kid. They used to sell a whole series of Mind's Eye animations at Natural Wonders at the mall (before they went out of business. that store chain was fun. I don't remember if it's on that copy or not, but there might be some EARLY Pixar stuff on it. Not sure.

I recall in one of your LGR Thrift episodes that you found a loose Merlin electronic game that you didn't quite buy. You still looking for one? Because my roommate has a Merlin: THe 10th Quest game that we've been trying to sell for a while, and we can definitely donate it to you, for free, if you're interested.

my late father bought the same calculator the 2500 back in the day. still here and still works all be it the original power adapter is missing and he said he accidently left it in a motel somewhere. also has the manual and a calculator book for it and the case but nothing else no original box sadly.

I'm so jeaous about that Slayers game in box.
I have absolutely no way to play it but that anime was the anime that got me -into- anime. It would be a funky thing to own.
Always love watching these, it's fun to see the weird and wonderful stuff that just shows up.

I'll be damned! I have a copy of Echelon on the C=64 and a LipStik. I've never seen anyone else mention the things until now. Great video as always. I'm always glad to see that there are places for all this old stuff to go where it will be well kept and appreciated.

Aah that Gateway 2000 P5-166. Memories. That was our family's first ever PC back in like 1995. About 5 years later we got another, a 'Gateway' (no 2000) PIII Celeron. I really hope you do a video on the 166, would love to relive those days!
