I don't mind if there's new stuff focusing on just toddlers because toddlers are a very overlooked life-state in The Sims. I can understand that players may find them boring, but if you give them things to do and flesh things out, you can make the toddler stage enjoyable. Much as I don't like Sims 4 in general, I do like how the emotions work better with toddlers because they get angry or sad over the tiniest of things; and you have to take care of other skills and keep them happy other than -Feed, change diaper, work on Potty Training/Walking/Talking until they are too tired to do it anymore- and then done.
The ballpit texture is hilarious. It looks like that type of trap-floor that sucks people in when stepping on it.

I got the base game a few days ago, and after 10 hours of nauseating gameplay, have been mindlessly going through these reviews in no particular order trying to find something to redeem the game (and treating the comments section as a -simmers anonymous- support group) but I'm done. Truth is it's not the closed world or the lack of content that bothers me but how the game is predominated by a dictatorial to-do list that governs all your actions and limits your creativity. It's clearly targeting a much younger audience and turning it's back on its core fan-base. I think I just reached -acceptance- in my twelve stages of grief. I'll let the franchise die with what little dignity it has left now.

I wish I had paid closer attention into this review and did my research. I just got Toddler Stuff on sale for $5 and I'm still disappointed. You get one new haircut for boys, which is hideous, and the only actually new items are the slide, playhouses, and ball pit. Some of the girl's hair and clothes are cute but still just not much going on. I admit I'm biased because I highly prefer Sims 3, but it's impossible to not notice the drop between the packs for this franchise. For slightly more you'd get quadruple the content in a Sims 3 pack, no exaggeration. I find it disappointing how much the Sims 4 team stretches their pack releases. So many of them would be better off combined.

Kid-s Stuff and Toddler stuff should-ve been in Parenthood. My First Pet Stuff should-ve have been a patch to Cats and Dogs. Backyard Stuff and Perfect Patio Stuff should have been combined. Honestly every stuff pack should have been part of one of the game or expansion packs in my opinion or should have been a free patch.
EA is really ripping themselves a new one with the Sims 4. If the Sims 5 isn-t a step in the right direction (when it happens) there is going to be some pretty unhappy simmers.

I just wanted to thank you so much for your reviews. I used to play Sims 2 ardently many years ago before getting into my professional life and now miss the Sims. I watched hours of your reviews before deciding to buy Sims 3 and its packs--taking care to spend no more than about 10 dollars on each. Nothing I see here makes me feel comfortable spending my hard earned money and spending my precious few free hours playing the Sims 4. I agree with you--I love the Sims, I want it to be better.

-LGR I'm really thankful that you made these vids. Ik I'm late when it comes to watching these vids, but I'm glad that you're showing what each pack and a new addition to the new games are. I started off by watching the sims 3 reviews for the expansion packs I didn't have and I'm thankful u did these vids for those too. I'm thinking of buying sims 4 and some packs and you are really helping me decide on which ones to buy. :): ): ): ): ): )

It's SO infuriating that I have to resort to custom content to get items that should have been included in expansion packs because I refuse to pay for the cr-p EA/Maxis is turning out lately if they even offer what fans have been suggesting/begging for at all. Toddlers NEED more stuff, especially hair styles. What the heck are we supposed to do with almost all of the buy mode objects in this pack! They're SO lame!

So i have the sims 3 both for pc and the 360 (just picked that up a couple days ago) and tbh in my opinion its still the best version of the sims for what you get in the base game. I got my pc one for 5$ at a local thrift store but i had to shell out 25$ for a used copy at a gamestop nearby. Its been out for hella long, and for it to retain that value is really something i see in old mario gamecube titles.

Whenever I watch one of your reviews I just regret having bought the sims 4 all together; _; I don't even bother the load screens because I feel like the open world made the sims 3 extremely laggy, plus they only take a few seconds rather than a few minutes! But I miss so many sims 3 packs in the sims 4, they keep coming up with crap like this.

It's almost 4 am. I've been watching all of your Sims 4 reviews instead of sleeping, but that ball pit was the first thing to make me question whether I had fallen asleep and was dreaming. That is amazingly terrible. How can you go from the rock climbing wall, which had a ton of protruding polygons, to that mess?
