Vintage computer hardware, oddware, PC games, electronics, and just lots of neat stuff. Fantastic as always, thank you to everyone: ) Crzces: I had to stop at 1: 49 and type this b4 I spaced it out bc of all the other goodness you get on -opening day-.
That Yamaha daughter board was the brains of early mainstream -STUDIO- music using PC-s. After they got everything on reel to reel, then did the initial tuning, HUGE studios like Normandy just outside Boston where bands like Aerosmith, New Kids on the Block, along with a plethora of others would slap the music onto a. dat disk, and do the final cuts with what is an incredibly basic mixer by today-s standard, but back then, that daughter board was king, and had an outrageous price to match. I didn-t look up the model yet, but I-m guessing it-s from the early 90-s-late 90-s, and though the model number changed, nothing on the board did, just software improvements. In 1991 I was at a studio named -Danger Studios- to record vocals for a friend, and they were just installing one that arrived earlier in the day, with a whopping price tag of $1599. 99. Heh, that board is a legend.

I know i'm like. 4 years late to commenting on this video, but the package you got from Dustin with the red trapper keeper and the ZX81USA made my ears perk up because I'm FROM Nashua NH - and good on you for saying that right the first try!
I don't remember there being a Sinclair being in Nashua, but given it looks like that original purchase order was printed on a dot matrix printer (and it's from the 80s) that doens't surprise me. Alas I wasn't even born when the RAM adapter was purchased in 1983! XD However my mom worked at DEC (Digital Equipment Corporation) in Nashua for over a decade - I have fond memories of that place! The server room in her building was an entire FLOOR - very cool to see as a kid.

Wow. So, Ross Scott did a video a while back ranting about his issues with OS GUIs, Windows specifically. I realized that, force feedback on a mouse to indicate rolling over object, as well as constraining the pointer, could be useful for certain interfaces that aren't like what we do now for PC. Something like weapon select wheels on consoles, taking advantage of vibration. I mentioned how, as far as I knew, there were no mice with force feedback. Now I see this, and good god is that ugly and oversized. Still, I love the experimentation.

I didn't know you accepted mail-ins or I would have picked up quite a few things for you over the last year at my local -Rendezvous- thrift store here in Alaska. I refrain from buying a lot of the weird Items I would enjoy collecting because I live on a boat and have no place to store them. They like me there since I buy lots of the weird unidentifiable stuff that would probably never sell and I like their ethos as a store because it finds their senior day center.

Power VR are what you are looking at on your I Phones. They specialised in concentrating on keeping power requirements as low as possible, while Nvidia and ATI just went for grunt. Power VR knew that things were going to get really small so they bided their time so they had the best tech to push serious pixel power on hand helds. namely. phones! Now they are huge.

Yeah so I realize this was posted a year ago but a friend of mine growing up had that exact ultra laptop. I was amazed by the trackball at the time because I'd never seen one on a laptop before. It was a 286 style laptop with win 3. 11 and dos 6. Triangle shaped batteries and Oregon trail built in. Good times.

Where does one to find the time to play / test all these games and software. I keep meaning to play some of my old PC, PS1 and other stuff but can-t find the time to get back into any of it. I-d send some stuff your way if I had anything worthwhile for you but most my older stuff is failed or been recycled.

The OmniGo is one in a series of MS-DOS handhelds released by HP.
When I was in school they had Power Mac 5200s all over the place and every one of them had the Apple Presentation System installed, but I don't think anyone ever used it. BTW Focus Enhancements makes very high-end hardware.

Way to take me back to webroot spy sweeper. That was the malware bytes of the early 2000s. And yes, I was one of the millions of people who bought webroot way back when. Love your vids man. Been binjing on your stuff for the past few days but have watched on and off for the past few years.

I have a Ultra CRT monitor from 1996 and it is decent. The plastic quality is very good, but when I increase the contrast, the picture gets more blurry. I wish I could fix that because that's annoying. Oh well, still has great color and has a amazing design. Have fun with your Ultra laptop.
