You know what would be great though, if they added High-Tech. aka not polluting high education jobs. now you could argue offices. but they produce nothing. this would have been the perfect time to add a new spec to the industrial zones. make it so they import things like oil/ore and produce normal goods. as a replacement for the non-pollution make them require only highly educated workers. if anything i think this is the one thing that is missing that would make every single aspect of CS better than SC4. This new district type would have gone amazing with the green cities DLC as well, however now two amazing DLCs for it to fit in and no High-Tech, it makes me doubt it will ever happen. =l now i do understand it in no way is a requirement for a non-polluting city. Just dont place any industry that is not a renewable specialization but i wanna produce technology! I wanna make my own Silicon valley! eh, other that that minor rant, i can agree, this looks like a great expansion.

It's disappointing how unrealistic the Industries DLC is. Forestry and farming both require much more land in the real world. they're scarcely recognizable in C: S. Ore? What's that? The DLC needs to be extracting specific minerals like iron, copper, zinc, gold, silicon, etc, not some vague -ore-. The oil industry makes a strange distinction between oil and petroleum that doesn't exist in real life. And it doesn't produce any gasoline, kerosene, diesel or heating fuel, etc, the main reasons why we pump dinosaur juice out of the ground in the first place.
Finally, in real life most of these industries don't produce a lot of traffic because the harvest rates are relatively low and the resources are spread out over a lot of land. You've got to wait for trees, plants and animals to grow before they can be harvested, for instance. But the game makes these generate high traffic, as though there is no grow time.

But of course I always wait for your reports own games pretty much PC games so keep up the good work as always and I like your commentary the quite funny as always and I see myself getting this game because for some strange reason without the industries I cannot get my farming to work which is sort of pissing me off on what I have already on City skylines so I'll be looking forward to getting the game and sometimes you can find a deal but except for you you could George to the company yay there's a company out there that's downloadable cause CD keys sometimes they're pretty reasonable on these keys and they're legit to I've got a couple of Sims4 games off of them and that's why I bought my and that's why I brought my three-part series of City skylines and they were just great great work peace out dee

The review was really great but i'm not going to buy this DLC for one reason.
A reason most probably won't unterstand and reply with something like _It's just a game dude - get yer sh't together. You're not a White Knight. _
I don't like to exploit the resources and destroy my ingame world. We already have enough problems in the real world which is eventually FUBAR.
Why do i need to act like one of those corporate bosses who refuse to research cleaner / greener technologies and instead continue to drill holes in the ground?
I don't care if the devs are milking the game for money. No one is forced to buy these DLC's although some of them are quite fun and in fact make a really good game even better.
As for this particular DLC all i could care for is the environmental aspect.

I (Drexel937) have been playing Sim City CoT for 4 years now- gained Top Slot on 25 of the servers Leaderboards for many Cads on every server, the time was unreal and dedication. One thing that hooked me on SC was the Industry- Flex Market with Electronics and Mining ETC (very fun. I never wanted to use Skylines because of the offline mode, but, this Industry Pack looks interesting as well as building ONE City. not 16 Per Region! Maybe I will use this and see, still, it is all offline if I have this correct, which makes this an entirely different game and nothing like the other (I doubt I would like it because of this.
When is someone going to make an updated SC CoT? Server Game (Server Side) EA has given up the Ghost. lol.

I would like to see a emergency DLC where we can have car crashes in the streets or even on the freeway have the police come along to hold the traffic up and let the fireman and ambulance to do their work.
We could also have something like outbreaks the flu and all other dangerous things that will kill life we can also have medical research facilities that can create vaccines and all those type of things I guess they will have more DLCs to come in future it sucks that I won-t be able to play city skylines until Christmas because I only have 8 gig of ram and I used most of it so I will get more ram 4 Christmas

I really like the nitty-grittyness of this exp and am considering getting it. Thing is, I love doing green cities as well and my question is, do these two areas of content conflict with each other? Meaning, will developing your industries always result in pollution and overworking natural ressources or could the new -industry system- introduced here potentially complement a green city? I mean, can you make. green industry? I guess it's ok if you have to choose whether to go for one or the other, but I think good expansions allow for meaningful -interaction- with other expansions.

I'd like to throw a two-part Paradox Interactive question at you, should you choose to accept it. One, have you heard of/purchased/played Surviving Mars? While this doesn't look quite as promising as their established franchise, it seems to show promise in an intriguing way. You will review it, right? I mean, right? And second, Xbox is running a sale on Skylines and a handful of expansion packs for $35, but I'm dubious of mouse-focused titles on a console. Still, you never know. have you played Skylines on a console, and if so, is it everything I fear it is?

For those that don't know, you can import resources just by placing a storage unit from the industry you want to import resources for. No oil? Well you can still set up an oil industry just by placing the oil industry building and an oil tank.
I had some oil off shore I wanted but none on shore. So I just did this and got my petrol and plastics industry going in the mean time until I can get the industrial park to level 5 for off shore oil rigs.

One thing that (at least) Sam But pointed out: As Industry needs maps natural resources, YET it doesn-t affect at all games Industry demand, it-s just basically STEALING those resources from ordinary industries? And that should be fixed. (If it already hasn-t been)
PS: As theres also paper industry involved in this DLC pack, game should have new kind of pollution mode too? SMELL!
