The Real Reason Why We Don't Hear About Dana Carvey Anymore Jeffery: We don't hear about him because you was never funny he was just extremely weird. So during the 80s that was in fact somewhat funny even then you didn't like seek out watching him that's the Sara Lee but he made a decent addition to some skits but the comedy was static and always exactly the same and obviously that's going to wear out. Being at the comedy was never over the top oh my God I can't catch my breath it were out probably quicker than he left TV he just stuck around for a while. Nothing against them just not one of the top talents that's all not even one of the middle talents

While he's nowhere near as popular as he was in the 90's, he's actually been acting a lot more than he used to. He's mostly been doing guest starring gigs and Adam Sandler stuff but he did also have a supporting role in The Secret Life of Pets, which. wasn't exactly an obscure little indie. A movie that no one cares about/remembers nowadays MAYBE but it was still a pretty huge hit when it first came out!

I had a weird thought the other day about Carvey. I was thinking about the Broadway revival of Stephen Sondheim's dark comedy musical Assassins, and I would like to see Carvey as Giuseppi Zangara, the would-be assassin of Franklin Roosevelt who missed and killed the Mayor of Chicago instead. I remember him doing a straight but quirky acting job in The Road to Wellville so I know he has it in him.

thanks for the post I often wondered what he and other SNL cast members were doing lately, SNL was so funny back when John Belushi, Dan Aykroyd, Bill Murray, Chevy Chase and many many others were on board, over the years it remained one of my favorite shows I really miss that cast they not only made SNL what it is but had great fun doing it.

he was so fresh and funny on SNL, bit not funny when he left SNL and aged a bit. i still laugh when i recall his broccoli song. i didn't know about the bypass failure, and i feel for him on that issue. i had a triple bypass almost 3 years ago. it was horrifically painful.

Dana Carve is rich and living his life. He could give two ishts about being in the entertainment industry. The stress is probably what lead to heart problems. The key is to make a lot of money, invest it wisely and then get the hell out.

So, a baby having a freakout over a wig is a sign? I think Garth may be more logical than his actor. I totally understand wanting to be with his family, but, an infant being afraid of random stuff is not 'a sign'.

I turned down a job
Kinda regret it
Hopefully I'll get a similar offer one day but I needed to stay at my current job for a few more months since I had just started

I still remember the sketch that got the Dana Carvey show cancelled: King Henry VIII holding the decapitated heads of his ex-wives and singing about it.
