Sometimes I feel very lonely, as if I were living in a separate universe of my own; all the People just talk about the Sci-Fi - movie and the creepy creature as the encarnation of evil. But the future and the Alien are just Jokers for the most evil Thing of all times, called man. It is the leaders of the very Company who decide Long before the film Begins that the Crew is absolutely dispensable just to get hold of the Alien and the android Ash is their complice, their deadly tool - he lets Kane inside with the face-hugger and overrides the order of Ripley! Man has no bigger enemy than man himself, tigers, cobras sharks or Aliens really are the lesser Problem. Just to mention it, since the Blacks took over power in South Africa, 70. 000 White People have been killed; you could really call this slaughter and it keeps going on and the world does not even notice. The western world keeps sanctions upon Russia that threatons nobody, but South Africa gets away scot - free.

I remember the only reason that I wanted to see Alien was because H. R. Giger was behind creating this creature. I had owned this picture book I think it was called, The Necronomicon that had Giger's paintings. I was mesmerized at Giger's creations. They were terrifying, hypnotic, and the things of nightmares. His style of combining flesh with metal was something that I had never seen anywhere. I would look at them and I could visualize them coming to life. I thought, What kind of a mind could create such frightening and yet such beautiful images? I had made the mistake of showing this book to one of my high school friends while we both frying on Acid. The poor guy had a very bad trip and started seeing these images come to life in my room. God I felt so bad putting him through that.

I saw alien when I was 8yr old in 79 IV never seen anything like it, it was so real & new unique But now it's like Scott has forgot what alien was
, what made it the best Syfy alien movie ever Now the alien is more bug then a human hybrid or Kane's son as it was said. Bugs don't scare me
But a tall walking Black Death psychopath that thinks like Jack the Ripper & has Metal Crome teeth that can bite through anything now that scares me. I think the alien looking more like a man, walking like a man but with the look of a gooey bone corpse was the best look now all they do is copy the alien from part 3 the dog alien it's like they don't get it, it looked that way cuz it was born from a god dam dog

This is one of my all time favorite films. It was a game changer in that the creature was inflicting terror into its victims. The Alien was psychologically already inside of you and that had not really been done before in the genre. The crew was defenseless against the creature and even the nostromo itself seemed to be against them. The film is an exercise in terror which is the psychological breakdown in this case of the crew by the creatures stalking, mind game before inflicting what the crew came to know would be their horrifying end. Thus the horror is the end result of terror. Something like that LOL. Outstanding film and tends to lead to all sorts of interesting in-depth conversations.

Bretts original death was not absurd. In fact, it was much creepier in my opinion, as the Alien points its fingers down before lowering itself, which just freaked me out, the way it slowly lowers itself was really disturbing. As for the killing of poor Brett, it was very brutal, as the Alien slowly crushed his head and pushed his spearpoint tail into his back before biting his head and taking him up into the vents. The way the blood flew down onto Parker stopped my heart and I couldnt breathe. I understand the reason they cut it, being they wanted to hide the creature, but I think the original was much more disturbing. Just my opinion, dont crucify me for it.

This Alien sucked. Really. In classic horror movies the actors are lame characters just waiting to be hacked by the evil. By contrast, all Alien movies had a lead-female who Fought the mean alien, inspiring her team to fight, not like this one, always looking and acting like she doesn't know what to do, with a team that was just simple puppets to be cut by the monsters, classic horror b-class movie.

Alien is still scary as hell, the only thing that's always suspended my disbelief of the series are these super advanced humans not being more careful completely not interacting with the environment. Particularly in prometheus, the guy just taking off his helmet to smoke blows my mind. Woulda made more sense if the spores poked through the suit or slipped through the air filter, something

When I saw the detail of the crew kitchen are on Nostromo, I knew it could not have been created without something like the spirit warrior meeting mentioned on this video. Which in reality is probably a bunch of artists getting 5 kinds of high and tripping out, while throwing around their ideas. True brainstorming. I think this is becoming a lost art these days though.
