The Real Reason You Don't Hear From Antonio Banderas Anymore vins_vins: The Skin I Live In (2011) is a grandiose masterpiece, well known all around the world (apart from the US, where people watch only Hollywood movies and basically ignore or dismiss whatever is going on in the rest of the world. Then, Banderas is currently working as an actor on three different movies, which are either being filmed or already in post-production and set to be distributed either at the end of 2017 or in 2018. Lest forget that he has also directed two movies, of which one (Summer Rain - 2006) is very good (it was awarded at the Berlin Film Festival. He is also working on his third movie as a director. He also worked in theatre and he is currently writing and also studying fashion design at the famous Central Saint Martins College of Arts and Designs in London. I think he is an interesting and eclectic person who is following his passions. Much better than all those other ageing Hollywood stars who keeps on playing the parts of the eternal young adventurers, or who accept any single part, even the shittiest ones, just to keep on staying on the red carpet.

I think it is disgusting for Hollywood and Mr. Katzenberg handing millions to overrated actors like Banderas to do a cartoon voice. All the CG cartoons (for Puss in Boots, Shrek etc) are made with the sweat of the animators who spend 2 years to bring a movie to life while Mr. Banderas did a 2 week voice recording and collected his 15, 000, 000 million PLUS a % of the movie profits. Hollywood has no respect for the CG animators and the Unions are to blame for it. Hollywood can get new fresh actors that sound like Banderas and pay much less plus help them with their career. What is so special about Banderas? Nothing.

one of my favorite actors just behind Mel Gibson imo honestly we missed out thinking about that, just imagine those two at the top of their prime (like 20 years ago) making a movie together. wouldve been amazing anything from a midevil scenario, fantasy (not the gay kind >xxx) or even sci-fi. thinking about that there's still time to throw them into game of thrones together bendarez could be new king of dorn and Mel could be the king of the North, targaryan (the one who lost the family sword) or something along those lines.

That lawsuit that you so proudly speak of was in 2011 and dismissed by a judge. Love how all that transpired way before this video was uploaded yet Looper purposely negates that fact for the possibility of a few likes and/or views. Another garbage social media outlet with no oversight, no credibility, and absolutely no accountability for their pseudo-reporting/uploading. Guess kudos for having such pride in playing your small part in the death of honorable, credible reporting.

But he's making time for movies still, and why are they shitty B movie type films? They are terrible and doesn't he realize putting work into those is eating away at his career? BTW Stoic / AKA Acts or Vengeance is another shitty B Movie and Salty / Gun Shy and Unchained or whatever it's called now are both Garbage too stuck in Straight to DVD limbo. He must not have one or have an agent as bad as John Travolta. Don't these actors realize when they have such horrible agents?

Maybe it was the fault of the director, but Banderas was terrible in Unchained. I could only watch him in that movie for about 15 minutes and then I had to give it up. B was OLD and awkward. Bad acting. Too sad. I did love him in The 13th Warrior. That and Desperado. He was awesome in those flicks. First time I ever saw him was in Tie Me Up, Tie Me Down. I said to myself then, That guy is gonna be a star.

To be fair, that Expendables movie did suck mightily; but, the only really good part about it was Antonio Banderas. I haven't seen Automata or whatever it's called, but, my sister did and she loved it - because of Antonio Banderas' acting. His acting was the only reason she rented it or stayed watching it.

Uhmmmmm. Excuse you. We DO hear from Antonio Banderas. He's making some GOOD movies for Netflix. His acting is as seriously intense as Jouquin Phillips, Tom Hardy, Christian Bale and so on. Since he got away from lush-loser, Melanie Griffith, he's blossoming! Check him out and see how you like him NOW!

Heheh. The real reason the plumber who showed up at your house to clear the drain twenty years ago doesn't show up at your house anymore. He ended managing or owning the plumbing business, so has other guys do that work, or made good money and/or sold the business and is now mostly retired.

Antonio is a Spaniard. We hate him in Spain and we are not proud of this traitor. I won't say why; make your own judgment. Another great European/Spanish actor is Javier Bardem. Javier Bardem (No Country for Old Men) is far more respected in Spain than Antonio Banderas and a better actor.
